Although Digo was an inland city, its annual rainfall was far from low. Even so, under normal circumstances, a downpour this extreme came only once in several decades. The rain fell so fiercely that it all but blinded people.
At the library entrance stood an older man wearing a pointed hood and sporting a long beard. A bubble appeared in his hand, then rapidly expanded until it enveloped the entire library, blocking the lightning but not keeping out the rain.
Through the haze of the downpour, Dolly slowly approached the library and climbed its steps one at a time. She was not dressed in her usual men's clothes, but wore a pale blue dress. A brilliant Sapphire Necklace hung above her full breasts, streams of light radiating from it.
Her long hair danced in the wind and rain. The falling water clustered around Dolly like a throne surrounding its queen. Ordinarily, she cut a dashing figure; now, she was breathtakingly alluring.
"A Siren? You've actually come this far inland?"
"You can go out to sea. Why can't we come onto land?"
Dolly held her hands before her chest with her index fingers crossed and sang in a soft, gentle voice.
"Mmm, ah~~~~"
At the very first note, every window in the library shattered.
Crash! Crash! Crash!
The warlock could not help covering his ears. To him, the beautiful melody was unbearably piercing, as though sharp knives were stabbing into his eardrums. Even his mind grew slightly dazed.
Rumble... Rumble...
Dolly made no unnecessary movements. She simply walked forward as countless bolts of lightning descended from the sky and struck the library's barrier. The rain seemed to turn into icicles as it entered the library grounds, blossoming into clusters of ice all around the building.
This power exerted an overwhelming pressure.
