Mulan traveled to Sorens to investigate the supernatural forces gathering for an auction, but the Twilight Brigade attacked the city and its vault. After Mulan survived a battle with them and a mysterious dark figure tied to his own power, he left Sorens considering the growing dangers surrounding the supernatural world.

• Mulan told Owen about killing Silver Mane Dobrich and asked him to investigate the vampires and werewolves near the Imperial Capital before returning to the Black Castle.
• Mulan’s wounds healed rapidly, but the full Wyrd Moon triggered a violent struggle with his werewolf power, which his Demon Shadow devoured before he and his companions left Shire.
• Mulan and Farolynch arrived in Sorens, where they learned the Sunwheel Gem would be auctioned and met Chris, while Chris’s brother Matt created the Avenger to seek revenge on Mulan.
• After the Avenger’s rampage exposed Belust and Matt’s connection to the Twilight Brigade, Mulan accepted Matt as a Black Castle professor and warned Sorens when a Gilvari Airship bombed the city.
• Mulan destroyed the airship with a Light Spear, then led the Guard Corps against the Twilight Brigade as they attacked Square Corner Tower and tried to break into its sealed vault.
• Mulan used the Guard Corps and his radiant powers to fight the Brigade, killed the purple man, and drew the remaining attackers after him as Matt and the Avenger darkened the sky.

Mulan advanced through the Radiant Potion, then put his students through an Otherworld examination that tested their courage and left many injured. After the students recovered, he reviewed their newfound talents and gave each one a personalized Proof of Magic Power.

• Mulan explored the interference in Matt’s mind, while Queen Nisheriel ordered a response to the Twilight Brigade and sent someone to check on Mulan’s injuries.
• Mulan gave Farolynch half of the Sunstone and began teaching him the Resurrector Path before returning to Digo at the Queen’s request.
• Moor stayed in Doya City with Handel’s help, while Mulan returned to the Black Castle and brewed a Radiant Potion with Handel.
• Mulan drank the Radiant Potion before Glando and the court, became a complete Supernatural Being, and entered the Forbidden Door to inspect its relics.

• Mulan helped Queen Nisheriel investigate Gaormos, captured him, and secured his cooperation by promising to protect his family and seek answers about Evan.
• Matt joined the Black Castle as a professor, while Mulan made Jenny his student and began guiding her Secret Realm Weaver training.
• During transport to the Sacred Mountain, Gaormos awakened to his Shadow Demon power as the train crossed the unstable border region.
• Sylven and Redhead’s crew attacked the Holy Temple trains to steal a black flute, and the prison carriage carrying Gaormos plunged into Blue Moon Lake.
• Gaormos became the Shadow Demon, rescued trapped priests, stripped a bishop of his Holy Light, and fought Sylven as a breach to the Otherworld opened.
• Mulan released his second layer of resonance, dispersed the darkness, and sealed the breach before carrying four surviving attackers to safety.
• Mulan recruited Redhead and the three other survivors to help him resist the darkness, while the Holy Temple discovered its injured bishop could no longer commune with the Holy Light.

Mulan led Dierjia’s campaign against Kingsbia’s Life Divine Religion, winning the battle for Lorint and advancing toward the capital. Farolynch embraced Dawn and fought the forces pursuing him, while Shire found Xin Erwei and her children in the Otherworld as danger closed in.

• Sebastina questioned the Black Grimoire about Mulan, while Farolynch discovered a cult draining captives’ life force and was shot after reporting it to the police.
• Farolynch rescued Xin Erwei and her children from a mob, and Mulan channeled Dawn’s light to save him from a vampire and its bats.
• Mulan warned Dierjia’s council about the Life Divine Religion, took command of a corps, and led students and soldiers into Kingsbia.
• Mulan’s forces defeated a night assault by werewolves and bats, then advanced through devastated settlements as Kingsbians joined their ranks.
• Mulan’s Light Spear shattered Lorint’s defenses, and the Forward Legion and local rebels captured the city and forced mass surrenders.
