Barn was already poised to draw his sword. Part of the First-Generation Onikiri's blade had even emerged from its sheath, gleaming with a chilling light, but a large hand settled over the hilt.
"Calm down, Barn. That boy isn't dead. Ivankov just sent me word. Tiger Hunt saved him."
The speaker was Dragon. He had appeared behind Barn at some point, and his face, marked with a geometric tattoo, was so dark it looked as though ink might drip from it.

Barn didn't turn around or take his hand off the hilt. He even drew the blade out a little farther.
Barn hadn't exerted any strength, but Dragon was still startled. He had to press down harder to stop Barn's movement.
"Barn, the time hasn't come yet. Trust me. He'll get the punishment he deserves."
Dragon spoke in a low voice.
