Everyone stared in astonishment at the man before them, who looked far too young, disbelief written all over their faces.
"Master Barn?"
Luffy called out again, unable to believe it himself.
Barn, who had been smiling wryly at the crowd of Kung Fu Dugongs surrounding him, finally noticed Luffy's voice.
"That voice..."
"Luffy?"
Barn immediately turned his head toward Luffy. Though he couldn't see, the movement gave Luffy a clear view of his face-the same familiar face he remembered from childhood.
"Hahaha! Master Barn! It really is you! You haven't changed at all!"
"It's really him?"
Hearing Luffy's words, his friends froze all over again. They had imagined his master as either a burly man or a kindly old grandfather, but the person before them... looked far too young!
Barn immediately rose from the rock and walked toward Luffy. The Kung Fu Dugongs around him all looked over as well.
"It really is you, Luffy. Got any water?"
Instead of the touching words everyone expected from a reunion between master and disciple, Barn's first words were a request for water...
"Yeah, I've got some."
Luffy handed over his own share of the water without hesitation.
"Hey!"
Sanji rushed forward to stop him, but he was too late. The water was already in Barn's hands, and there was no taking it back now. Barn didn't drink it himself, however. He raised it over his head and held it to Fitz's beak.
Fitz, who had passed out from the heat, seemed to sense the water and immediately perked up. Fitz pecked straight through the water container and stuck a head inside.
Fitz was so thirsty that the entire container was drained in one go. Revived, Fitz once again stood bright and alert on Barn's head, those beautiful feathers looking even more dazzling
