Whitebeard took the large jug Shanks had tossed up to him, pulled out the stopper, and sniffed it, then spoke disdainfully.
Shanks merely smiled and said,
"I've sailed every sea in the world... and I've never found a finer wine than this..."
"Try the wine from my hometown."
Just then, a third voice intruded on what had been a private meeting between the two.
"Oh? How about pouring me a cup too?"
Whitebeard and Red-Hair immediately looked toward the voice, wary, only to find a familiar face.
"Hm? Barn, what are you doing here?"
Whitebeard looked curiously at Barn, who had suddenly appeared aboard his ship.
"Ah, Mr. Barn, you're here too. I'll pour you a cup right away."
Shanks greeted Barn's arrival with a smile. He took the enormous drinking bowl he had prepared for Whitebeard and filled it to the brim.
Barn stepped down from the ship's railing, accepted the wine from Shanks, then took a few steps back before sitting down.
Whitebeard said nothing. A man who loved his drink as much as he did had no intention of wasting time. He lifted the jug and poured a great mouthful straight down his throat.
"Hm. Not bad."
Barn and Shanks drained their drinks as well.
Barn wiped away the wine that had spilled, smiled at Shanks, and said,
"That's some excellent wine."
Shanks smiled in return and said,
"I'm glad you like it."
Just then, Whitebeard spoke.
"Your presence feels very weak. What happened, Barn?"
Barn turned toward Whitebeard and answered with a smile.
"Ah, I just escaped from Marine Headquarters."
"...!"
Whitebeard and Shanks fell silent for a moment at Barn's words, then suddenly burst out laughing.
"Gwahahaha!"
"Hahaha!"
"Looks like Garp and Sengoku had another rough time of it! Gwahahaha!"
Whitebeard spoke through his laughter.
