When they saw Barn approaching, everyone gathered around the dead Ace turned toward him, still overwhelmed by the grief of losing Ace.
Jig also looked at Barn with hope. Ever since Barn had appeared in his world, his master had embodied the impossible. Countless things Jig had believed could never happen had happened before his very eyes through Barn.
He had seen Barn regrow an arm severed by the other Jig inside him, and he had seen Whitebeard's grievous injuries completely healed by Barn's hands. At the sight of Barn approaching, Jig immediately cried out.
"Master! Save Ace!"
Hearing Jig's plea, the pirates around him seemed to regain their hope, their eyes burning as they looked at Barn.
"Yes! Mr. Barn!"
"Mr. Barn, please save Ace..."
"Mr. Barn!"
Hearing the desperate voices of Jig and the pirates, Barn turned his gaze toward Ace. Akainu had punched through his back, exposing his charred organs, yet he had died with a smile on his face...
"Yeah..."
Barn nodded firmly but said nothing more. Instead, he walked over to Luffy, who had lost consciousness with his mouth hanging wide open, and slowly crouched down.
Barn slowly reached out and rested a hand on Luffy's shoulder, speaking quietly.
"A complete mental breakdown already? Ace's death really hit you hard..."
Just then, Ivankov came running over. Luffy was Dragon's son, after all, and he certainly did not want Luffy to die here.
"Can you save him? His body is already at its limit. If his mind breaks down now, he could die!"
A little surprised by Ivankov's voice, Barn raised his head. Looking at Ivankov's exaggerated, unforgettable face, he smiled.

Ivankov froze for a moment at Barn's words, but then spoke urgently.
