Ch. 101Conqueror's Haki finally awakened

Barn fought Capulias after the Devil Fruit user transformed into an awakened dragon and overwhelmed him with Conqueror’s Haki. Pinned beneath Capulias’s descending foot, Barn refused to die, awakened his own Conqueror’s Haki, and stopped the attack.

  • Capulias transformed into his awakened Primordial Demon Dragon Savage Dragon King form and revealed that he possessed Conqueror’s Haki.
  • Barn’s Evil Light Slash failed to break through Capulias’s Haki, and Capulias charged him with Destructive Impact.

  • As Barn recalled the people he wanted to protect, he resolved that he did not want to die.
  • Barn’s Conqueror’s Haki awakened and resisted Capulias’s descending foot.

Ch. 102Great Dark Sky

Barn’s newly awakened Conqueror’s Haki shielded him from Capulias as Kazaan revealed himself inside Barn and seized control of his body. Barn transformed and unleashed Great Dark Sky against Capulias.

  • Barn’s Conqueror’s Haki erupted, and a blood-red barrier blocked Capulias’s attempt to trample him.

  • Barn rose with blood-red mist streaming from him and used Great Dark Sky on Capulias.

Ch. 103This man must not be allowed to live!

Whitebeard recognized that Barn had lost control as Kazaan used his body and unleashed a massive attack on Capulias beneath a spreading canopy of darkness. Before Kazaan could finish Capulias, a powerful swordsman appeared, wounded Barn, and declared that Kazaan must die.

  • Whitebeard saw Barn’s darkness spreading across Saipan Island and ordered the Moby Dick to flee before it engulfed them.
  • Kazaan attacked Capulias with red wings, spears, a thorn wheel, and advancing ground spikes, pinning him beneath the black canopy.
  • Capulias broke the thorn wheel and unleashed a roar infused with Conqueror’s Haki, but Kazaan overwhelmed him and prepared to shatter the darkness around him.
  • A massive sword slash split the canopy’s central eye, and a powerful swordsman emerged and struck Barn with a blade of energy.
  • The swordsman freed Capulias, watched Kazaan’s wound heal, and told Capulias that Kazaan must not be allowed to live.

Ch. 104Shodai Kitetsu

Capulias overwhelmed Kazaan while Kazaan controlled Barn’s body, but Kazaan awakened the curse’s power and turned the fight around. The kimono-clad man rescued Capulias and drew Shodai Kitetsu as the battle continued.

  • Capulias fought Kazaan at greater speed and repeatedly struck Barn’s body, while the kimono-clad man tore apart Kazaan’s dark curtain with a slash.
  • Capulias hurled Kazaan away and battered Barn until his bones were shattered, but Kazaan’s curse spread across Barn’s body and let him rise again.

  • The kimono-clad man kicked Kazaan away and pulled Capulias from the magic circle before its energy erupted.
  • The man drew Shodai Kitetsu as red lightning struck down, and Capulias recognized the sword.

Ch. 105Frenzy

Kazaan, controlling Barn and wielding Nidai Kitetsu, fought the man with Shodai Kitetsu and Capulias as they tried to contain his strange, regenerative abilities. Capulias transformed into his Savage Dragon form to join the attack, but Kazaan embraced the pain and unleashed Frenzy.

  • Capulias charged Kazaan, but Kazaan caught his fist with Soul Thief's Hand while the man attacked with Shodai Kitetsu.
  • Kazaan drove Capulias back with a blast of red energy, and the man caught him before explaining that Capulias's speed had been neutralized.
  • Kazaan coated Nidai Kitetsu with pulsing flesh and clashed blades with the man, then recovered from a powerful kick as his body regenerated.
  • Capulias transformed into his Savage Dragon form and charged Kazaan with Savage Bite, while the man cut off Kazaan's escape.
  • Kazaan shattered the man's slashes and collapsed the ground beneath Capulias, causing the Savage Bite to miss; the man mounted Capulias and told him to look for an opening.
  • Kazaan cut his chest with the Blood Sword, licked the blood from its tip, and activated Frenzy.

Ch. 106An Arm Severed! The Gravely Wounded Savage Dragon

Kazaan fought the bald man while Capulias attacked in his savage dragon form, escaping a lethal slash by cutting his way out through Capulias’s face. Kazaan severed Capulias’s arm, and after Kizaru carried the unconscious Celestial Dragon away, the bald man prepared to continue the fight.

  • The bald man charged Kazaan, and their swords clashed before Capulias lunged at Kazaan in dragon form.
  • Kazaan held Capulias’s jaws apart but had to dart into the dragon’s mouth to avoid the bald man’s Thousand Slashes attack.

  • The Golden Lion struck with Lion’s Might: Earth Roll.

Ch. 108The flying Saipan Island

  • The Golden Lion landed on Saipan Island and used his ability to make the entire island take flight.

Ch. 109The formidable Five Elders

A bald swordsman stopped Golden Lion from taking Barn by severing nearly a third of Saipan Island with an unseen sword-drawing technique, then let Golden Lion leave. Barn later woke up blind in Golden Lion’s custody and met a boy named Jig.

  • Golden Lion mocked the bald swordsman and carried Saipan Island away, but the swordsman silently cut off nearly a third of it with Shodai Kitetsu.

  • Barn regained consciousness in an unfamiliar place, realized he could not see, and learned that the boy watching over him was named Jig.

Ch. 110The rampaging ghosts

Barn spoke with Jig, a nine-year-old pirate boy, while recovering from his injuries. When Jig touched Barn’s cursed hand, Kazaan and the other ghosts transferred themselves into him, then flew outside to begin causing havoc.

  • Barn learned that Jig was nine and told him about the Life Fruit that kept his appearance from aging.
  • Jig touched Barn’s scarlet, rune-covered left hand despite Barn’s warning, and purplish-black blood spread across Jig’s arm.

  • Kazaan and the ghosts Prey, Kalla, Rakshasa, and Saya appeared around Jig and began a contract with him.
  • The ghosts flew through the walls and outside, where a tremendous uproar broke out.

Ch. 111Taking Another Disciple?

  • The King of All Ghosts, Jig, recognized Gissard’s aura in Barn and questioned how he had gained unrefined Asura power.
  • Jig told Barn that the ghosts and gods inside him had gone out to revel and that he had lost his wave energy.
  • Barn returned to the room and woke little Jig as Golden Lion demanded to know what had happened.
  • Barn asked Jig to follow him and become his disciple, and Jig happily agreed after Golden Lion nodded.
  • Barn said he would introduce Jig to his senior brother and sister later, then turned his attention to the chaos across the floating island.

Ch. 112Do You Know What a Soul Bender Is?

Barn helped little Jig regain control of the ghost gods that had wreaked havoc across Vilmeyou, but the contract returned them to Barn's left arm. Inside Jig's sea of consciousness, Barn encountered the other Jig, who remained bound to the child by a contract, and left as the other Jig asked the child whether he knew what a Soul Bender was.

  • Little Jig watched the ghost gods cause chaos among the Flying Pirates and feared he was responsible, but Barn comforted him and told him to trust him.
  • Barn explained that Prey, Saya, Rakshasa, Kalla, and Kazaan had moved into Jig's left hand, then guided Jig to recall them through their golden contract.
  • Barn strengthened Jig's connection to the contract, forcing the ghost gods out of the pirates and into Barn's left arm.
  • After the danger passed, Barn entered little Jig's sea of consciousness with him and summoned the other Jig, who said he had signed an unbreakable contract with the child.
  • Barn told the other Jig not to hurt little Jig, then left the sea of consciousness as the other Jig asked the child if he knew what a Soul Bender was.

Ch. 113The true power of Asura

Ch. 114The world five years later

Five years after Barn’s battle with the Tyrant Dragon King, he had awakened his Life Fruit and regenerated from Jig’s attack while fishing with Laboon. After Lia finished forging a sword for him, Barn decided to leave the island as the world shifted around the FFF Group.

  • Jig greeted Barn, then the King of All Ghosts took over his body and struck Barn with Nether Spirit, severing his arm before Barn regenerated it with Hyper Regeneration.
  • Little Jig complained about the King of All Ghosts taking over, and Barn and Jig traded jokes while Laboon surfaced beside them.
  • Jig told Barn that Lia had finished forging the sword and had asked him to return, and Barn said it was time to leave the island.
  • Jig asked when they would set sail, and Barn told him to prepare because the skies were about to change.
  • Adam called out to Lia at the FFF Guild in Sabaody, where she appeared as a hard-drinking, pierced young woman.

Ch. 115Caught one huge fish

Adam and Lia discussed their marriage and the sword prepared for their returning master, while Barn and Little Jig fished on Laboon. Jig caught a frightened young mermaid and began examining her, leaving her screaming.

  • Little Jig poked the mermaid and touched one of her shell-covered breasts, making her scream.

Ch. 116Arrival

Barn and Jig met Ayusa, a mermaid from Fish-Man Island who had gotten lost, and invited her to travel with them. They brought her to the Sabaody Archipelago, where they explored the human settlement and encountered a man in a burgundy suit with an unusually dressed woman beside him.

  • Jig mistook Ayusa's tail for a fish's meal and tried to help her, while Barn stopped him and introduced himself.
  • Ayusa explained that she had gotten lost after grabbing Jig's fishing line out of curiosity, and Barn invited her to travel with them.
  • Barn, Jig, and Ayusa set off on Laboon and arrived at the Sabaody Archipelago.
  • Barn disguised Ayusa's tail beneath a long dress and shoes, and Jig wandered around asking questions about the human world.
  • A man in a burgundy suit appeared behind Jig with a tall woman in an unusual outfit linked to his arm.

Ch. 117Homecoming

Barn returned to the FFF Guild in Sabaody with Adam, Jig, Lia, and Ayusa, reuniting with Rayleigh and the Guild members. He retrieved his ancient sword, which trembled when he touched it before calming in his grasp.

  • Barn touched the sword, steadied it with a quiet word, and stopped its violent trembling.

Ch. 118First-Generation Onikiri

Barn reforged Nidai Kitetsu into the Supreme Grade Sword First-Generation Onikiri and tested it in a spar with Rayleigh. After sharing drinks and saying he planned to travel and visit an old friend, Barn remained at the Guild on Sabaody, holding his new sword as the third day there passed.

  • Barn named the reforged sword First-Generation Onikiri after explaining that he had strengthened Nidai Kitetsu with terranium essence.
  • Barn and Rayleigh sparred, and Rayleigh noticed that First-Generation Onikiri's seastone-edged blade was breaking down the Haki on his sword.
  • Barn and Rayleigh joked about Lia learning to drink and fight before settling by the shore to share rum.
  • Barn told Rayleigh he planned to travel and visit an old friend, then left for the Guild as Rayleigh stayed by the shore beside his broken sword.
  • Lia recruited Ayusa into the FFF Group, while Jig continued asking to become Guild master and later slept off stolen rum.
  • On the third day at Sabaody, Barn sat alone in his room, holding First-Generation Onikiri and watching the sunset.

Ch. 119Super Laboon

Barn received a dose of iq essence from Shiki and gave it to Laboon, who endured a painful transformation and emerged far stronger and larger. Jig saw Laboon’s new form and asked Barn how he had grown so big.

  • Barn praised Adam’s growth and entrusted Lia to his care before meeting Oniwood, who had come on Shiki’s behalf.
  • Oniwood gave Barn a vial of iq essence intended for Laboon and explained that it induced evolution.
  • Barn brought Oniwood to Laboon’s lake and gave Laboon the essence after confirming that Laboon trusted him.

  • On Baltigo, Dragon refused Ivan's call to action and said he wanted to go home first.
  • Ace beat up three men who tried to rob him, then attacked Barn after Barn called him the son of the devil and claimed to be his father's friend.
  • Barn began bringing Jig to stay and eat at the Dadan Family home with Ace, and Dadan eagerly served Jig after Barn intervened.
  • Ace left the house, and Jig ran after him, calling for him to wait.
