Arc 5The Allied Shinobi War

After Hiruzen’s death, Yemu joined the Five Kage Summit and became commander of the Allied Shinobi Forces’ campaign against the Akatsuki. The alliance reached Amegakure, where Yemu overwhelmed Pain while Obito and Black Zetsu considered waiting for him to die.

  • Yemu destroyed Kumogakure with a colossal golden sword, then helped suppress the Nine-Tails and escaped the Cloud forces with Jiraiya and Qingxue.

Arc 6Yemu’s Return

Yemu defeated the allied shinobi forces and Madara, forcing the nations to surrender, then fell asleep as the Shadow Organization withdrew to the Land of Iron. Three years later, he woke to find his allies nearly defeated and returned to battle against the forces surrounding them.

  • Yemu rejected the Kage’s demand to share the tailed beasts, declared the shinobi world needed his rule, and gathered Qingxue Uchiha, Hinata Hyuga, and the Shadow Organization behind him.
  • Yemu devastated the allied army with meteors and led the Shadow Organization’s assault, while Orochimaru used Impure World Reincarnation to summon the Third Raikage, other former Kage, and Madara Uchiha.

The arc left Madara transformed by the Ten-Tails and Naruto newly empowered by the Sage of Six Paths, with Naruto resolved to stop Yemu and reach Sasuke.

  • Yemu rejected Madara Uchiha’s Eye of the Moon plan, defeated him, and used his Tenseigan to dispel Infinite Tsukuyomi before Black Zetsu resurrected Kaguya from Madara.
  • Yemu pursued Kaguya across dimensions and killed her and Black Zetsu in space, then freed the people trapped in Infinite Tsukuyomi by splitting the God Tree.
