Yemu Hyuga trained Qingxue Uchiha and Hinata Hyuga while concealing the power he used to survive Uchiha Itachi’s massacre. After graduating and winning the Hyuga tournament, he was assigned to Team 8 with Hinata and Shino, while Qingxue was left off the team.

• Yemu Hyuga entered the Ninja Academy, reunited with Qingxue Uchiha, and began training with Neji Hyuga.
• Yemu invited Qingxue to live with him, trained her after she awakened her Sharingan, and later agreed to train Hinata Hyuga as well.
• As Uchiha Itachi’s massacre approached, Yemu knocked Qingxue unconscious to keep her safe and confronted Itachi at his home.
• Yemu resisted Itachi’s genjutsu with his Tenseigan and drove him away, after which Itachi chose to spare Qingxue.
• Sasuke Uchiha challenged Yemu after the massacre, but Yemu defeated him and later rejected Hiruzen Sarutobi’s offer of early graduation.
• Yemu won the Hyuga tournament, graduated with Qingxue and Hinata, and celebrated with them at home.
• Hiruzen assigned Yemu, Hinata, and Shino Aburame to Team 8, leaving Qingxue off the team, and Yemu went to object to the assignments.

Yemu built the Shadow Organization, gathered Zabuza and Haku, and entered the Chunin Exams with Hinata and Qingxue. Qingxue left Konoha after attacking Ino, while Yemu reached the Forest of Death and sensed Orochimaru among the candidates.

• Yemu joined Kurenai’s team, defeated her bell test, and later fought off Root ninja who came to summon him for Danzo.
• Yemu confronted Deidara and Sasori, took their gold and Sasori’s Puppet Technique, then traveled to the Land of Waves and forced Zabuza and Haku to serve him after killing Gato.
• Yemu established the Shadow Organization with Zabuza and Haku, assigned them to gather materials, and prepared to exploit the coming Konoha Crush during the Chunin Exams.
• Yemu defeated Sasuke and Rock Lee in taijutsu, while Qingxue awakened her Sharingan and defended him from Kankuro and Dosu.
• Yemu, Qingxue, and Hinata passed the written exam, and Yemu restored Ino after her mental attack rebounded against him.
• Qingxue attacked Ino, but Yemu secretly healed her and gave Qingxue a token before she left Konoha to rebuild her clan.
• Yemu used a Shadow Clone to fill Qingxue’s place on the exam team and entered the Forest of Death with Hinata, where he sensed Orochimaru disguised among the candidates.

Yemu advanced through the Chunin Exams, secured power within the Hyuga Clan, and began dismantling its Branch Family system. As Orochimaru launched the Konoha Crush Plan, Yemu defeated the Fourth Raikage and turned his attention to Killer B.

• Yemu defeated the Kumogakure team and several exam competitors, then won his preliminary match while his Shadow Clone defeated Rock Lee and he overwhelmed Gaara.
• Yemu confronted Kakuzu and Hidan’s threat indirectly as Zabuza and Haku intervened, then accepted Hyuga Hiashi’s offer to become Young Clan Head while deferring an engagement to Hinata.
• Yemu proposed abolishing the Hyuga Main Family and Branch Family system, erased the Caged Bird Seals, and gained Neji’s allegiance after giving him a Chakra Core.
• Yemu controlled Baki and Gekko Hayate, moved into a larger home, and received Hiruzen’s offer to join ANBU as the Chunin Exam finals approached.
• Qingxue defeated Temari, and Yemu quickly defeated Naruto before the Fourth Raikage demanded that he become a Kumogakure sleeper agent.
• Orochimaru launched the Konoha Crush Plan as Yemu revealed his blue Tenseigan, defeated the Fourth Raikage, repelled Killer B, and formed a black orb with Chibaku Tensei.

After the destruction of Root and Konoha’s attack, Yemu helped Hiruzen prepare a campaign to deter Kumogakure and lure the Akatsuki into the conflict. The invasion escalated into battles across the village, where Yemu protected his allies and intervened as Hiruzen faced the Cloud forces.

• Yemu defeated Danzo and destroyed Root, while the Fourth Raikage’s forces and Sand Ninja intensified the chaos around Konoha.
• Yemu helped repel the attackers and returned with Gaara captured, while Hiruzen decided to step down and lead an expedition against Kumogakure with Jiraiya and Naruto.
• As Konoha rebuilt, Qingxue confronted Yemu over his closeness to other women, attacked the Konoha 12, and was subdued by Yemu, who later promised Hiruzen he would take responsibility for her.
• Hiruzen launched the Red Fox Plan, sending Yemu to spread rumors about Naruto and the Nine-Tails in Amegakure while Jiraiya and Naruto prepared to enter Kumogakure.
• Yemu’s squad infiltrated Kumogakure and discovered the village had planned a major attack on Konoha, while Hiruzen, Jiraiya, and Naruto launched their assault.
• Naruto fought the Fourth Raikage and Killer B, eventually transforming with Nine-Tails chakra, while Jiraiya battled Darui and Pain watched from hiding.
• Yemu intervened when Itachi and Kisame confronted Sasuke, and Itachi departed after Yemu revealed that Danzo and Root had been destroyed.
• As Hiruzen, badly wounded, refused to surrender to the Cloud forces, Yemu used Repulsive Force to deflect Darui’s Black Panther attack.
