The Family's Misery

Mika's eyes widened in shock. "Then how do you usually survive? Hasn't the Imperial Insect Clan been taking proper care of you?"

If these children were telling the truth, then they were war orphans. The Insect Clan might be strange, but they should still possess basic morality.

The little boy shook his head. "I don't know. We've lived here ever since we were born. Back when Dad worked outside, those uncles would often come visit us. But after Dad died, apart from bringing us some food, they never came again."

Hearing this, Mika clenched his fists tightly. He closed his eyes, yet two tears actually slipped from the corners of his eyes. "A thousand years!
