Arc 9The Summit and Rain War

Toru Kujyo exposed a hidden Rinnegan wielder’s attacks at the Five Kage Summit, but the villages’ divisions helped drive Kumogakure toward war with Amegakure. As Team 8 went to investigate, the Akatsuki and White Zetsu Clones met Kumogakure’s forces in battle.

  • Raikage A and Killer B fought Shimura Danzō until Pain appeared as Toru Kujyo’s Wood Clone and destroyed Kumogakure with Super Shinra Tensei.
  • Obito and Black Zetsu discussed the mysterious Rinnegan wielder, while Toru Kujyo kept his role secret and Tsunade prepared Konoha for further threats.
  • Samui asked Toru Kujyo to rebuild Kumogakure, but he refused, and Tsunade later took him to the Five Kage Summit, where he accused Ao of possessing a stolen Byakugan.
  • Tsunade explained that a second Rinnegan wielder was attacking villages with powerful puppets, but the Kage argued over responsibility and Raikage A left to attack Amegakure alone.
  • The other villages offered military support to Konoha in exchange for protection from massive attacks, while Toru Kujyo recognized a White Zetsu Clone spying on the summit.
  • Tsunade sent Team 8 and Toru Kujyo to infiltrate the Land of Rain, and Kumogakure began its attack on Amegakure with Tailed Beast Bombs.
  • Pain stopped Kumogakure’s attacks with the Four Red Yang Formation, and Raikage A interpreted it as proof of Konoha’s involvement before ordering his troops to press on.
  • White Zetsu Clones infiltrated and swarmed Kumogakure’s forces as Akatsuki joined the battle, where Yugito Nii was pinned down and Killer B severed his arm to escape the Preta Path.
