Arc 5The Konoha Crush

Toru Kujyo used the Chunin Exams and the Konoha Crush to defeat Gaara, destroy Root, and seize its hidden resources while Konoha fought Orochimaru’s invasion. After Hiruzen’s death and the village’s memorial, Toru bought a large plot of land to build a new home as news of the attack spread across the Five Great Nations.

  • Toru Kujyo gave Karin the Adamantine Sealing Chains scroll, then returned Hanabi to Konoha as the Chunin Exams began.

Arc 6Toru’s Return to Konoha

Toru Kujyo protected Sasuke from Itachi, trained him and others, and uncovered Akatsuki surveillance while developing his Wood Release. After Tsunade became Hokage, Toru and Hinata were promoted to chunin, and he brought Karin back to Konoha as a new comrade.

Toru Kujyo revealed his Wood Release while defeating the Sound Four, then took Sasuke to Orochimaru for a Hashirama cell transplant. Sasuke survived the operation, awakened Mangekyō Sharingan and Wood Release, and Toru stopped Orochimaru from beginning further examinations.

Toru Kujyo strengthened Sasuke, built a new home, and grew closer to Hinata before using a meteor strike to test Kumogakure’s defenses. The arc ended with Akatsuki’s puppet forces overwhelming the village and Toru’s Wood Clone helping turn the attack into a devastating rout.

  • Toru Kujyo exposed Orochimaru’s plan to tamper with Sasuke, healed him, and helped him gain Wood Release before trading information about the Shinigami Mask for senjutsu training and Ryūchi Cave’s Summoning Scroll.
