With an idea in mind, Cheng Yu seemed to have a plan. He grabbed someone who looked more or less like a normal human at random and asked,
"Excuse me, do you know where the God Emperor lives?"
The person was a monster with drooping, lifeless eyes and almost no hair, only countless stitches. He had no nose, just two narrow holes.
Rows of stitches covered his neck as well. Some of the threads seemed old, and even the flesh spilling out from beneath them was deathly pale.
The "person" froze, then turned to look at Cheng Yu. His mouth stretched all the way to his ears, revealing three or four rows of sharp teeth and a straw-like mouthpart.
"Hissss! Raaaargh!"
He raised his arm, and the stitches on it flew toward Cheng Yu as though they had come alive. The chunks of flesh left behind when the threads disappeared turned into a swarm of little monsters with sharp teeth and lunged at him.
Miss Puppet did not move, so neither did Cheng Yu. After all, he trusted his big sister unconditionally. At worst, he would die. With a powerhouse backing me, I'd fucking dare to run wild across the Myriad Heavens. I'm a proud seven-foot man-less than a foot tall as a baby-and death is the worst that can happen. What's there to fear?
Watching the mouthpart nearly press against his face, Cheng Yu froze. Wait, big sister, you're just going to leave me to fend for myself?
Fortunately, Miss Puppet did intervene. Remember, they were standing in front of the newsstand, and she had already turned that wrinkled monster into one of their own.
Cheng Yu watched a mass of metal skin fragments fly out of the newsstand and slice the tubular mouthpart into several pieces.
Then came
