In the tallest building in the Inner World.

A middle-aged man in a dark purple suit sat casually on an imposing throne, leafing through a dark red book. Every turn of a page released a thick smell of sulfur.

In the silence, even the sound of him turning the pages echoed. After a while, he spoke softly.

"So this is how you exploited my loophole?"

A voice came from the darkness before the throne. It had been altered, making it impossible to tell whether the speaker was male or female.

"Your Eminence should know that I am not the true self."

The man in the dark purple suit, Yog, said,

"I know. Otherwise, do you think you would still have the chance to speak to me here?"

The figure in the darkness fell silent. Yog continued,

"And although you are not that being, that being can be you."

Still, no sound came from the darkness. Yog chuckled.

"Besides, if Shub finds out that 'you' played such a trick on her, 'you' will have a very miserable time for quite a while."

This time, the figure in the darkness replied,

"Surely Your Eminence did not come here just to tell me that?"

Yog smiled.

"I am very interested in your plan."

The figure in the darkness fell silent. Then a flippant voice rang out.

"Holy shit! Old Yog, you're getting involved personally? Now that's big news. Back in the previous era, this would've been one hell of a scoop."

Yog ignored that voice and said,

"It seems you were certain I would help you."

The flippant voice continued,

"I wouldn't say certain. I just figured the odds of success were pretty high. If even a shut-in voyeur like you is getting involved personally, my plan must be quite the spectacle."
