• River reunited with Naruto, took him in as his uncle, and revealed that Minato and Kushina were his parents and that Kurama lived inside him.
• River allied with Fugaku after learning that Suimei had killed the Daimyō, and the Uchiha Clan prepared to seize control of Konoha.
• Danzo sent Root to attack the Uchiha, but River and Shisui helped repel them, then River confronted Obito and revealed the truth about Rin’s death.
• River rode Kurama into battle against Hiruzen and Danzo, while Fugaku pursued Danzo and used Amaterasu against his forces.
• River drove Hiruzen from Konoha with Wood Release, and Fugaku discovered that Danzo had used Impure World Reincarnation to summon Hatake Sakumo.

River helped Fugaku take control of Konoha, then joined the Akatsuki to capture the tailed beasts and force the shinobi world into a new order. After seizing the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails and destroying Kumogakure, River led the Akatsuki into Sunagakure to target Gaara.

• River defeated Hashirama Senju and the other reanimated fighters, helping Uchiha Fugaku secure victory and become Fifth Hokage.
• Fugaku began reforms in Konoha, while River announced plans to seek the tailed beasts and left the village with Konan and Itachi.
• River joined Pain’s Akatsuki mission, and the group captured Yugito Nii and sealed the Two-Tails.
• River and Pain defeated Killer B and the Eight-Tails, then fought their way through Kumogakure’s forces.
