Accidents like this were perfectly normal when an unfinished warship was brought online in an emergency. Cheng Mingrui had been prepared. He kicked the console and pressed both palms flat against it.
In an instant, Structural Mechanics gave Cheng Mingrui a complete understanding of the entire warship's condition. His ability was not usually this powerful. Whether it was because he had grown larger or because his anger had given him a boost, all his abilities had improved dramatically.
In three minutes, the warship would begin breaking apart. In ten, it would disintegrate completely, dragged to the ground by the planet's gravity and reduced to a vast heap of scrap.
But theory was only theory. Cheng Mingrui immediately ordered the Ork Mekboys at critical stations to begin damage-control repairs. At the same time, he activated the power supply to charge the living metal aboard Boss Slick's Ship and reinforce its hull.
Cheng Mingrui himself piloted an Engineering Kan and teleported to the stern to carry out emergency repairs. Kidd and Dio were both there, along with plenty of other Mekboys. They were working a mechanical miracle.
Two minutes later, countless fragments fell from Boss Slick's Ship: components, steel plates, and all kinds of equipment. This debris raining down from high above also inflicted heavy casualties on the Tyranid Swarm below.
The ship seemed about to break apart. The Tyranid Swarm below was abandoning the fight and beginning to withdraw. Only the Orks were still attacking them ferociously.
The Orks thought Boss Slick was supporting them, and fought even harder. On an Ork combat bike, an Ork blasted a Gargoyle-a kind of flying Tyranid beast-to pieces with a shoulder-fired missile. In his excitement, he roared up at Boss Slick's Ship overhead: "Waaagh!"
Beneath the shadow cast by Boss Slick's Ship, the Tyranid
