Green and purple energies collided in a devastating explosion. A green sun burst like a supernova, its explosive force enveloped by a blazing purple sun that was then blown apart from within.
The purple and green powers repeatedly annihilated one another, clashed, and dissipated.
The frenzied energy in the sky shredded anything that dared approach. Even space itself briefly ceased to exist.
When the force of the explosion finally subsided, it left a wound-a wound seething with chaotic energy that would take a long time for space to heal on its own.
Several bolts of lightning erupted from the wound and struck the ground, reducing nearby Daemons to ash.
Only two demigods, Mortarion and Fulgrim, remained standing in this dangerous region.
"Number Fourteen, your performance has really exceeded my expectations. What happened? Did you spend days and nights crying to Grandfather before he gave you so much power?" Fulgrim sneered.
"Fulgrim, you renamed your legion the Emperor's Children to please the Corpse Emperor. Ironically, you betrayed the very one you were pledging your loyalty to. Now you don't even dare change your legion's name. If you named it after your current master, who knows whether you'd betray your new master too?" Mortarion retorted without a trace of fear.
Stung by humiliation, Fulgrim charged, intent on slicing Mortarion to pieces. His appearance had long since ceased to be human.
Fulgrim had a serpentine lower body and wore magnificent armor over his upper half. His four arms held sharp scimitars, making him a man-eating monster. Only his face remained beautiful and exquisite.
Clad in battered armor and a rotting cloak, Mortarion spread his Death Wings and raised his scythe to meet him.
As the battle between the demigods began, Hols also ran into serious trouble.
A Portal suddenly opened above his head.
