Aboard the Guardian, everyone in the human Expeditionary Force considered the Mouse Trap plan a major success. The blow to morale caused by the devastating losses in the first landing operation was gradually fading, and spirits were rising.

Everyone had grown optimistic. The Orks might look ferocious, but ultimately, they were just beasts. Beasts might be fierce and dangerous, but with the right methods, hunters could still kill them with clever traps.

After the battle, Pex returned to the docking bay to bandage and treat the soldiers, just as he had last time.

"Soldier, don't be nervous. Relax. Soon you won't be in so much pain. When you wake up, you'll feel reborn." After finishing the injection, Pex comforted the agitated soldier.
