"": "After almost two and a half days on the road, Luo Bin finally returned to the village where the Su family lived.
He parked outside the Su family's home and knocked on the courtyard gate.
Su Su opened it.
The sunlight had flushed her oval face pink, and her almond-shaped eyes brimmed with delighted surprise. She had put on makeup today, her brows shaded just right, exquisite earrings dangling from her ears, and her hair softly curled. Hers was not a dazzling beauty, but the distinctive, delicate charm of the girl next door.
To Luo Bin's surprise, Su Su threw her arms around him, clasping his waist tightly and pressing her face hard against his chest.
For a moment, Luo Bin had no idea what to do with his hands.
His body stiffened, his hands lifted slightly, and he leaned back a little.
After a dozen seconds or so, Su Su let go. Her face flushed even redder as she retreated several steps.
Another person stood frozen in the courtyard: Su Jian.
Su Jian had truly been startled.
Luo Bin's return was a delightful surprise, but Su Su rushing over to hug him had left Su Jian drenched in nervous sweat.
Yet Luo Bin's reaction filled Su Jian with bitterness.
Not only Su Su's face but even her ears had turned red.
"S-sorry... Mr. Luo, I thought something had happened to you. I couldn't reach you all this time. I'm just happy you're all right. Please don't get the wrong idea." Su Su raised her head, her voice especially pleasant. Apart from the blush she could not hide, her manner suggested nothing had happened.
"I was going to come back. I need to get my things." Luo Bin smiled faintly, likewise acting as though nothing
