Ink Turtle returned to the Rasha Hall, resentment written all over his face. White Tiger Venerable mocked him. "Got thrashed by that little girl, didn't you?"
"You... that girl wasn't nearly as tough as you made her out to be. If Mysterious Bird hadn't called me back, I would have taken her down already."
White Tiger Venerable nodded with a smile, but to Ink Turtle, that smile showed nothing but disbelief.
Just then, Red Dragon King suddenly asked, "Ink Turtle, how strong was the Insect Race in this battle?"
"In answer to the Red Dragon King, they were building a Forward Base. From what I observed, their artillery placements were extremely unprofessional... their aerial..."
Red Dragon King roared, and Ink Turtle immediately shut his mouth. Thorn Dragon King snapped furiously, "I asked how strong the Insect Race was, and you keep rambling about everything else without getting to the point!"
Ink Turtle hurriedly knelt. "Their combat strength was decent. I would have to advance to the next stage to fight that girl."
His words startled all the Venerables. Even White Tiger Venerable asked in surprise, "Are you sure? I thought that girl was strong, but surely not so strong that you'd need to advance to beat her?"
This time, Ink Turtle stopped boasting. He shook his head and sighed. "Even then, I might only manage a draw."
Red Dragon King frowned. "The Insect Race's weapons are far more advanced than ours. If their War Generals are that strong as well, this war will be difficult."
Wreathed in flames and dressed in a blood-red qipao, Mysterious Bird stepped forward. "Why don't we ask the two ancestors to come out of seclusion?"
Red Dragon King shook his head. "The two ancestors said we must not awaken them unless the race faces annihilation."
