The soldiers of Doro Star and their commander, Charlie, were surrounded by layer upon layer of the Insect Race, while the insects' commander, Beast God General Charm Spider, stood before him, smiling as she waited for his answer.
Charlie looked at Charm Spider in surprise and asked, "What do you mean?"
"Hehehe... our Insect Race's Overlord despises traitors. We can spare you and your people..."
Before Charm Spider could finish, an adjutant dropped his weapon at his feet. Charlie drew his pistol and pointed it furiously at the adjutant. "What are you doing? Pick up your gun."
Another soldier set his weapon on the ground. One after another, almost all the soldiers laid down their weapons.
Charlie roared, "Are you rebelling?"
The adjutant who had been the first to disarm sneered. "Rebelling? Is it worth it? Does Kade Star care about us? Dona Star betrayed us, too. General, look around you. I can die fighting for honor, but what about the civilians behind us? Our parents? Right now, surrender is the only way to save them. Tell me, who else will protect them?"
Charm Spider nodded with a smile. "He's right. Surrender, and we'll spare you. Keep resisting, and we'll kill you all. Commander, think it over carefully."
Faced with this situation, Charlie put his pistol to his head. Charm Spider did not stop him. "A heroic suicide? As this planet's leader, you've chosen the easiest way out. Suit yourself!"
Charm Spider turned and walked away without the slightest hesitation, but Charlie suddenly called her back.
"We're willing to submit to you, but spare our families."
Charm Spider did not look back. "As you wish!"
