Ch. 221Preparing for Battle on Planet G5

Zhang Fan defeated King Sairen, made the Barton People the Insect Race’s vanguard, and directed the Insect Race to invade Planet G5. The Federation Council responded to the invasion by teleporting to Slave Beast Planet.

  • Pangu defeated and killed King Sairen, and Zhang Fan declared himself the Barton People’s king.
  • Zhang Fan ordered the Barton People to serve as the Insect Race’s vanguard, forbade infighting, and promised rewards for conquering planets and evolving.
  • The Insect Race helped restore Barton Star while the Barton People waged war for it, and the Insect Race expanded its fleet over the next ten years.
  • Badara told Zhang Fan that G5’s natives used spatial rifts to teleport Barton warriors away, so Zhang Fan redirected the Barton People to S6 and sent the Insect Race to G5.
  • The Insect Race invaded Planet G5, and the Federation Council decided to teleport to Slave Beast Planet.

Ch. 222Spatial Rift Gene

The Insect Race discovered the Spatial Rift Gene among G5’s natives and fought their alliance with the S6 natives while Sophia developed ways to use the gene. When Sophia implanted it into ten Barton People, Zhang Fan ordered their destruction but relented and allowed her to keep three.

  • Pangu’s forces found G5’s natives escaping through a Portal, but the Insect Race overwhelmed those left behind after the Portal closed.
  • Sophia discovered the Spatial Rift Gene in G5’s natives and told Zhang Fan that human genes were needed to integrate it into the Insect Race.
  • After Badara reported that G5’s natives had allied with the S6 natives, Pangu divided his forces between G5 and S6 and ordered Badara to focus on the S6 natives.
  • The Insect Race fought the allied natives for years, and Sophia developed short-range spatial teleportation devices using genetic samples from the conflict.
  • Sophia implanted the Spatial Rift Gene into ten Barton People, and Zhang Fan ordered them destroyed before allowing Sophia to keep only three.

Ch. 223Superplanet

After conquering S6 and G5, Zhang Fan managed the Barton People’s expansion while the Insect Race focused on strengthening its forces and widening the Link Channel. Sophia discovered the immense, resource-rich planet Ilis, and Zhang Fan led the Insect Race there, where their first landing force met an army of giant ants.

  • Sophia kept Beijite, Badasi, and Buluoya among the Barton People, altered their loyalties, and the three helped the Insect Race conquer S6 and G5.
  • Badara asked Zhang Fan to let the Barton People fight across nearby star regions, and he offered to buy the planets they conquered while ordering their women and children to remain on Barton Star.
  • Plague ordered his observers to monitor the Insect Race and said he would make contact once it could rule a galaxy.
  • Sophia used the G5 natives’ space-tearing abilities to expand the Link Channel as Zhang Fan learned the Barton People had devastated three planets and ordered them to preserve biological resources for the Hatching Insect Mothers.
  • Sophia showed Zhang Fan a superplanet she named Ilis, and he ordered the entire Insect Race fleet of a hundred thousand warships to attack it.
  • The Insect Race vanguard landed at Ilis and faced giant ants, while Zhang Fan marveled at the planet’s resources.

Ch. 224Expanding on Ilis

Zhang Fan’s Insect Race struggled against Ilis’s giant creatures until new Ilyss units and assimilated ant forces helped it secure a foothold. As he planned the planet’s conquest, Pangu reported that an unidentified fleet was attacking Planet G5 and the Barton People were in danger.

  • The Insect Race’s vanguard fought the giant ants and bees on Ilis, suffering heavy losses while Zhang Fan ordered the collection and study of their genes.
  • Sophia explained that the vanguard’s improved abilities came from adaptation and mimicry genes, and that their evolutionary limits could not currently be removed.
  • The first batch of Ilyss Insect Race units hatched, and Zhang Fan ordered construction of a Kronos before beginning the invasion in earnest.
  • The Insect Race captured the ant queen and used Ilyss Progenitor Bugs to transform her, producing Insect Ants with the ants’ strength and defensive traits as well as electrical attacks.
  • After ten years, the Insect Race had established a foothold on Ilis, and Sophia estimated that occupying the planet would take about thirty more years.
  • Pangu reported that an unidentified fleet was attacking Planet G5 and that the Barton People might not withstand its firepower.

Ch. 225Capturing Didilis

Zhang Fan led the Insect Race in driving the Ravachans from G5 and defeating their fleet with electromagnetic weapons. After Didilis surrendered, he offered Zhang Fan a secret about the Erl Universe in exchange for his life.

  • Zhang Fan reinforced G5, where Insect Race warships drove off the Ravachan fleet, and then had captured Robots transformed into Insect Race troops.
  • Didilis ordered Ravachan forces to gather near the H7 Star Sector, where they fought the Insect Race fleet to a stalemate until Badara revealed the Ravachans' weakness to electricity.
  • Zhang Fan ordered Electromagnetic Insects and Insect-Converted Electromagnetic Cannons into battle, disabling Ravachan warships and forcing Didilis to surrender.
  • Zhang Fan ordered Didilis killed and the Ravachan warships transformed, but Didilis pleaded for his life and revealed that Zhang Fan had come from the Erl Universe through a spatial rift.

Ch. 226Three-Headed Dragon

Zhang Fan uncovered the Great Emperors’ hidden role in the Vitter Universe conflict and expanded the Insect Race’s occupation of Ilis. When a powerful Three-Headed Dragon attacked, he searched for a weapon that could pierce its scales without destroying the planet, and Sophia proposed modifying the Mirass Super Cannon.

  • Didilis revealed that the Southern Realm Great Emperor ruled the Vitter Universe and that the Northern Realm Great Emperor secretly opened the passage, so Zhang Fan spared Didilis.
  • Zhang Fan reasoned that the Western Realm Great Emperor Jiertai’s power was sealing and suspected the Great Emperors’ rivalry explained why the passage remained open.
  • The Insect Race transformed the hevaracha warships, defeated Revaracha resistance, sent captives to forced labor, and dispatched the Barton People to help Sophia occupy Ilis.
  • The Insect Race upgraded its weapons with hevaracha technology as Zhang Fan assessed the Vitter Universe’s military strength and tried to avoid drawing the advanced civilizations’ attention.
  • A Three-Headed Dragon nearly destroyed a Forward Base on Ilis, so Zhang Fan ordered the Insect Race to withdraw and stop attacking while it gathered information.
  • Zhang Fan considered using black obsidian but worried it could destroy Ilis, and Sophia suggested modifying the Mirass Super Cannon.

Ch. 227"Dawnlight Barton"

Sophia created the Mechanical Dawnlight Barton, allowing the Insect Race to destroy the three-headed dragon and develop new elemental units. After the Insect Race prepared to invade Ilyss Planet, Plague appeared before Zhang Fan to invite him to join Commander Varagon’s faction.

  • Badara offered the Barton People’s energy-control methods, and Zhang Fan promised to preserve their race in exchange for their loyalty.
  • Sophia created the Dawnlight Barton, which fired concentrated black obsidian energy, but Ilis creatures attacked it because they were drawn to its energy.
  • The Dawnlight Barton wounded the three-headed dragon with a long-range shot, and Sophia improved its accuracy by combining biological intelligence with Hevaracha mechanical systems.
  • The Mechanical Dawnlight Barton killed the three-headed dragon, whose genes Sophia used to create the Wind-Control Insect, the Fire-Devouring Insect, and the Lightning Insect.
  • The Insect Race equipped its newly hatched insects with the dragon’s defensive carapace and prepared to invade Ilyss Planet.
  • Plague appeared before Zhang Fan and invited him to join Commander Varagon’s faction, whose enemies were beings from the Erl Universe.

Ch. 228Plague's visit

Plague recruited Zhang Fan to join a campaign against the Erl Universe, giving the Insect Race a resource-rich Star Chart and ten thousand years to prepare. As the Insect Race targeted the region’s powerful factions, Sophia revealed a gene that could let them combine Barton abilities with the power to tear through space.

  • Plague recounted the Vitter Universe’s ancient war and invasion, then recruited Zhang Fan and promised resources before an all-out offensive in ten thousand years.
  • After Plague left, Zhang Fan and Sophia discussed using the {primordial progenitor} to control him, while Plague found the creature clinging to his armor and kept it for study.
  • The Insect Race finished preparing its invasion from Ilyss Planet, but {Ghost Shadow Bugs} reported that Plague’s Star Chart covered galaxies ruled by numerous Cosmic-Level Powers.
  • Zhang Fan agreed to take on the powerful factions, and Sophia said the Insect Race needed more strength and ships to face the larger conflict.
  • Sophia revealed that a gene chain in the Three-Headed Dragon could combine with other genes, giving the Insect Race Barton abilities and the ability to tear through space.
  • Zhang Fan suggested that Earthlings possessed a sealed {god gene}.

Ch. 229Little Coiling Dragon Pillar

Zhang Fan reunited with Dumite on New Orland, where the immortal Orland people remained trapped on their planet and asked him to break their seal. He found a smaller Coiling Dragon Golden Pillar guarding a Tisakai relic, proved he possessed human cells, and caught the metal sphere it released.

  • The Spirit Dragon Brood Bug connected Zhang Fan with Dumite, who invited him to New Orland to break another seal.
  • Dumite explained that the Orland people had been revived after the Insect Race broke their previous seal, but they were still confined to one planet despite having spacefaring technology.
  • Dumite led Zhang Fan to a smaller Coiling Dragon Golden Pillar, which warned him to leave and attacked him with golden beams.
  • Zhang Fan ignored the beams and learned that the pillar guarded a relic left to humanity by the Tisakai Race.
  • Zhang Fan showed the pillar his human cells, and it released a metal sphere that he caught.

Ch. 230The secret of immortality

Zhang Fan took the Reaper Scythe from the catwoman who had used immortality to punish the people of Orland, then sealed it and arranged for it to be sent to the Erl Universe. Dumite and the catwoman reconciled, while a mysterious metal ball revealed a star chart that Dumite identified as the Fairy Lake Nebula and their planet, Demihaila.

  • Zhang Fan received a twelve-sided metal ball from the Coiled Dragon Pillar, and Sophia recognized Dumite and his people as the immortals the Overlord had sought.
  • Zhang Fan recognized the catwoman patrol captain's weapon as the Reaper Scythe, and Pangu disarmed her after she attacked.
  • The catwoman explained that she had granted the people of Orland immortality to make them suffer for their past pursuit of it, while Sophia and Zhang Fan challenged her own role in that suffering.
  • Zhang Fan forced the Reaper Scythe's power out of his body, sealed the weapon with psychokinesis, and sent it with Sophia to be delivered to the Locarno in the Erl Universe.
  • Dumite forgave the catwoman and offered the Insect Race his people's skills in weapons and technology, and Zhang Fan welcomed them into the group.
  • The metal ball projected a star chart, and Dumite identified it as the Fairy Lake Nebula and their planet, Demihaila.

Ch. 231Queen Kaina

Sophia followed the twelve-sided sphere into Demihaila’s caverns and encountered Queen Kaina, who resembled Charm Spider and could connect to the Insect Race consciousness. Zhang Fan discovered Kaina’s kind descended from the insect eggs he had scattered across the universe, and Kaina willingly accepted him as her Overlord.

  • Zhang Fan sent Sophia and two {Shield Apes} to investigate the cavern tracked by the twelve-sided sphere.
  • Sophia and the {Shield Apes} fought their way through the caverns as the sphere led them deeper underground.
  • Queen Kaina confronted Sophia and identified herself as the queen of the Subo Kingdom.
  • Sophia linked to Kaina’s consciousness and informed Zhang Fan, who teleported to the cavern.
  • Zhang Fan restrained Kaina and revealed that her kind descended from the insect eggs he had scattered across the universe.
  • Kaina stopped resisting, knelt before Zhang Fan, and welcomed him as the Overlord.

Ch. 232The lost Insect Race

Zhang Fan found the lost Insect Race on Demihaila, restored Kaina’s lifespan, and recovered a piece that joined the twelve-sided sphere. He left Pangu to unite and conquer the planet while the sphere revealed Kuku Planet as their next destination.

  • Zhang Fan met Queen Kaina and used his power to restore her Insect Race abilities and lifespan.
  • Kaina gave Sophia a metal ball that attached to the twelve-sided sphere, whose glow faded after the pieces joined.
  • After learning that Dodona’s army had invaded, Zhang Fan sent Pangu to investigate and learned about Demihaila’s kingdoms and legends.
  • Pangu fought Agard, and Zhang Fan recognized him as a member of the Insect Race and ordered Kaina and Agard to set aside their feud and take Demihaila.
  • Zhang Fan left Pangu in charge of the conquest and returned to the Spirit Dragon Brood Bug with Sophia.
  • The sphere projected a star chart of Kuku Planet, and Dumite warned that its defensive network would make it difficult to attack.

Ch. 233Xuàn Rì Awakened

Zhang Fan and Pangu led the Insect Race to conquer Demihaila, while the surviving subterranean kingdoms made a desperate stand. King Kacha awakened Xuàn Rì, whose immense Overlord consciousness threatened both Zhang Fan and Pangu as Zhang Fan prepared to confront it.

  • Zhang Fan strengthened his Overlord consciousness, awakening Demihaila’s Insect Race and driving them to attack the other kingdoms.
  • Pangu transported ten billion Ilyss Insect Race warriors to Demihaila, and the Insect Race army destroyed seven subterranean kingdoms.
  • King Kacha united the five surviving kingdoms, but their forces collapsed against the Insect Race at the Red Flame Abyss and scattered in retreat.
  • King Kacha awakened Xuàn Rì in a lava cavern, and Xuàn Rì killed him before unleashing a furious eruption.
  • Zhang Fan sensed Xuàn Rì’s powerful Overlord consciousness, shielded Pangu from its pressure, and ordered Pangu to bombard the planet if he failed.

Ch. 234Eliminating Xuàn Rì

Zhang Fan fought Xuàn Rì, whose savage consciousness had overwhelmed the Demihaila Insect Race, and defeated him after containing his self-destructive energy. Xuàn Rì died, the energy was converted into Energy Cubes, and the Insect Race began recovering from his influence.

  • Zhang Fan withdrew the Insect Race warships from the Demihaila Star Region and confronted Xuàn Rì alone.
  • Zhang Fan battled Xuàn Rì, severed one of his insect heads, and pursued him across Demihaila.
  • Zhang Fan used Spiderwebs to slow Xuàn Rì, shattered his central head's skull, and knocked him into a crater filled with bones.
  • Xuàn Rì compressed his energy to destroy Demihaila, but Zhang Fan trapped it in a Psychokinesis Cage and Dumite's machine converted it into Energy Cubes.
  • Zhang Fan returned to Xuàn Rì and watched him die as the Demihaila Insect Race began to recover from his influence.

Ch. 235Plague's Clone

After discovering that Plague had secretly altered Natasha’s consciousness, Zhang Fan purged the Shadow Council and continued the Insect Race’s advance toward Kuku Planet. Plague prepared a clone to take his place as the Insect Race encountered a satellite defense system capable of destroying a Dark Eagle.

  • Zhang Fan discovered an artificial consciousness inside Natasha and ordered the Shadow Council killed, then snapped Natasha’s neck.
  • Plague learned that his link with Natasha had been severed, altered the Progenitor, and sent a clone to take his place while he vanished.
  • Plague’s clone told an adjutant to let the Insect Race gather the galaxies and Time Shards.
  • At Kuku Planet, Dumite warned Zhang Fan that the laser satellites had strong offensive and defensive capabilities.
  • The satellite array absorbed the Dark Eagles’ attack, amplified the energy, and destroyed one of them with its return fire.

Ch. 236Satellite defense network

After {Dawnlight Barton} damaged Kuku Planet’s satellite defenses, Zhang Fan sent Sophia and Kaina to negotiate for the object the Dodecahedral Metal Sphere was guiding them toward. The Kuku Federation admitted the envoys to the planet, where the negotiations began amid mutual suspicion.

  • Zhang Fan’s {Dawnlight Barton} destroyed Kuku Planet’s satellite defense network and an asteroid, prompting Sophia to warn that another blast could destroy their destination.
  • Kaina proposed exploiting damage from the asteroid, while Dumite reported that the Hevaracha Robots were scanning the satellites; Kuku scientists identified thirteen damaged locations and began repairs under Sural’s plan.
  • Zhang Fan ordered an emissary ship to seek the Dodecahedral Metal Sphere’s destination and assigned Sophia and Kaina to negotiate, hoping to obtain the satellite defense network as well.
  • The Kuku Federation Council debated admitting the envoys, then allowed Sophia and Kaina onto a Kuku spacecraft while keeping their Emissary Ship outside the defenses.
  • Moderan and Sural met Sophia and Kaina at the council airfield, where Kaina abandoned her request for a welcoming banquet and called for negotiations to begin.

Ch. 237The Fleeing Fragment

Sophia and Kaina searched Kuku Planet for an activated fragment while Moderan and Sural mobilized the population and debated using the satellite network. After Sophia tracked down the fleeing thief, she recovered the fragment, but Moderan recognized him as his son, who claimed the aliens had deceived everyone about the relic.

  • Kaina told Moderan that Sophia and she had come to retrieve an ancient fragment, and Sophia showed him the blue-lit twelve-sided sphere used to locate it.
  • After Kaina warned that the activated fragment could kill everyone if they failed to shut it off, Moderan ordered a planet-wide search, but he refused to let them use Kuku Planet's satellite network.
  • The Kuku people submitted three million metal balls, but Sophia found no match and then used the sphere's changing light to track a fragment moving with someone fleeing on a hoverbike.
  • Sural's troops captured the fleeing man, and Sophia recovered the fragment and announced that she and Kaina would take him with them.
  • Moderan recognized the man as his son, who accused Sophia and Kaina of lying and claimed the fragment was a divine artifact that would not explode, prompting the two women to laugh.

Ch. 238Evacuating Kuku Planet

Sophia and Kaina obtained information about the Twelve-Sided Metal Sphere and the Satellite Defense Network before the Insect Race withdrew from the Kuku star system. Zhang Fan’s army then headed toward the Wei Star Sector to find the Third Fragment, but encountered a fleet of Delman space pirates along the way.

  • Kaina threatened the researcher into explaining that the Ancient Artifact projected a flawed gene map when illuminated by the Twelve-Sided Metal Sphere, then used {Progenitor} to erase his memory.
  • Sophia and Kaina returned the blank-eyed researcher to Modlan and left Kuku Planet, while the Insect Race warships withdrew from the system.
  • Kaina told Zhang Fan that an infiltrator was inside the satellite base, and Dumite reported that data from Kuku Planet’s Satellite Defense System was uploading.
  • Zhang Fan stopped Pangu from attacking Kuku Planet and ordered the army toward the Wei Star Sector to seize the Wei Star People’s reproductive ability and find the Third Fragment.
  • The Insect Race fleet was attacked by Delman space pirates, and Zhang Fan ordered his forces to wipe them out.

Ch. 239Delman Pirates

Kaina recruited Captain Dede Sa and the Delman Pirates to seize the Wei Star Sector in exchange for Energy Cubes. After the pirates won during the Wei Star People's dormant period, Kaina returned to negotiate and spotted a metal sphere Captain Dede Sa had taken from the Queen of Wei Star.

  • Zhang Fan agreed with Kaiwa that the Delman Pirates could be useful after they raided the Insect Race's vanguard.
  • Kaina offered Captain Dede Sa Energy Cubes to attack the Wei Star Sector, and he accepted the deal.
  • The Delman Pirates defeated the Wei Star People within three days, taking advantage of their dormant period.
  • Kaina told Zhang Fan that the Wei Star Sector was theirs, and Captain Dede Sa agreed to withdraw his warships in exchange for Energy Cubes.
  • Kaina asked to inspect a metal sphere taken from the Queen of Wei Star, and Captain Dede Sa hesitantly moved his hand toward it.

Ch. 240Where did she go wrong?

Kaina tried to recruit Captain Dedeza’s Delman Pirates and obtain more metal spheres, while Zhang Fan used a scheme to make the hungry pirates reconsider. After Dedeza accepted a job in the Kampo Star region, Zhang Fan warned Kaina that she had revealed too much, and the fleet returned to Ilis to see the newly hatched {Kronos}.

  • Captain Dedeza refused Kaina’s offer of a partnership, so she secretly placed two {Progenitors} on the Delman soldiers escorting her.
  • Sophia examined the metal sphere Dedeza had given Kaina, and it revealed a star chart for the distant Kampo Star region.
  • Zhang Fan revealed that he had tampered with the pirates’ energy blocks, and Dedeza’s fleet caught up with the Insect Race to negotiate after the Delman food and jewel reserves were destroyed.
  • Kaina agreed to pay forty percent in advance for the Delman Pirates to raid the Kampo Star region, then offered Dedeza another ten percent for any metal spheres he recovered.
  • Zhang Fan told Kaina she had rushed and exposed her objective, and Kaina realized she should have secretly followed the pirates instead.
  • Sophia reported that the first {Kronos} had hatched on Ilyss Planet and hundreds of {Shapeshifting Insects} were ready, so Zhang Fan ordered the fleet to return to Ilis.
