"It's all right now." Feng Ze wiped Tao Zhiyan's cheek with his thumb. "Everything's all right now."
Tao Zhiyan pressed his lips together, his tear-soaked lashes trembling. "He... he was talking to me just now."
"But I..." Tao Zhiyan looked pained, as though frustrated with himself. "I can't remember."
Feng Ze's heart tightened. Unable to help himself, he gathered Tao Zhiyan into his arms again. "Don't rush."
"You'll remember."
He soothed him quietly, sliding his broad hand down from the back of Tao Zhiyan's head to give his nape a gentle squeeze.
Perhaps it tickled, because Tao Zhiyan's grip on Feng Ze's clothes suddenly tightened.
Feng Ze's heart ached for him.
He turned his head slightly and, where no one else could see, pressed a light kiss to Tao Zhiyan's hair.
It was gentle and quick.
But Tao Zhiyan still felt it.
"..." Tao Zhiyan pressed his lips together and asked in a quiet, muffled voice, "What are you doing?"
Feng Ze tried to look nonchalant, but the amusement in his eyes betrayed him. "Nothing."
Tao Zhiyan turned his head away, keeping his lips taut. "You'd better be."
