Chris defeated the Bohemian forces and consolidated control of Bagnia while preparing for the former king’s return. Valentin led players into Minisia to investigate the plot, and they gained an invitation to a banquet that could bring them closer to its leaders.

Arc 9The Battle for Votradnoi

Chris defeated Dude’s Minisian army after a prolonged artillery battle, then exposed corruption in his own ranks. As his forces continued toward Votradnoi, Connie led players in a chaotic assault that ended with clashes against both the city’s defenders and armed civilians.

  • Chris’s army captured the Northern Ridge Heights and battered the Minisian defenses with artillery, while Dude ordered his troops to break out east as a wildfire approached.
  • Chris’s forces defeated Dude’s army in battle, and Little Knife killed Dude before Chris awarded him the Whale Hunter Medal.
  • A storm halted the pursuit, and Chris punished officers who had stolen prisoners’ rations or extorted soldiers, ordering an audit and severe penalties for those involved.

Arc 10Votradnoi’s Judgment

Chris’s forces captured Votradnoi, where Alanka’s attempt to end the holy war ended in his defeat and death. Chris used the players to purge the city, then sent Knife-in-the-Butt’s warband toward Hegrande, where they clashed with the Bohemian vanguard.

  • Connie discovered that a disciplined third force from Minicia was fighting alongside the Garrison Regiment and the Earth Mother Goddess Fanatics in Votradnoi.
  • Kan Jie and the players raided grain stores, fed starving residents, and helped riots spread as Alanka failed to control the holy war and its violence.
  • Alanka led the Holy War Army against the western wall, but the players and Prince Chris’s soldiers defeated his forces, and a beam of light carried Alanka away after his stone body shattered.
  • Chris’s army entered Votradnoi, and Chris ordered searches for Church leaders, the investigation of officials who had cut off his support, and swift expansion of the city administration.

Arc 11The Battle for Hegrande

Little Knife’s depleted warband helped break the Bohemian column, while Prince Chris’s Expeditionary Army fought off a cavalry attack and joined Count Siso’s forces outside Hegrande. The Bohemians then counterattacked, trapping players in their camp as Aku’s group struggled to hold off the light cavalry.

  • Colonel Carlos led his column back down the mountain as the players circled around its rear guard, and Old Cat disguised himself as a Bohemian soldier before using grenades to kill two patrolmen.
  • Little Knife’s players attacked Carlos’s troops in the forest, lured them into explosive traps, and forced Carlos to order an emergency retreat after realizing his forces had been divided.
  • Little Knife’s wounded survivors regrouped and attacked the Bohemian camp with Iron Hammer’s company, while Carlos escaped the collapsing camp by jumping into a river.
  • Lin Ruoyu received word that the Mountain Tiger Warband had routed over two thousand enemies and sent supplies to its depleted survivors.
  • Prince Chris’s Expeditionary Army defeated the Bohemian attempt to intercept its supply convoy, with Black-and-White Bear’s players helping rout the attackers and secure the route into Hegrande.

Arc 12The King's Return

Chris consolidated control of Bagnia while preparing for the former king’s return, and Valentin led players into Minisia to uncover the plot. The players gained a chance to perform at a banquet where they could get closer to Minisia’s leaders.

  • Lin Ruoyu’s rockets devastated the Bohemian camp, but a player shot him in the back as the Bohemians’ powder magazine exploded and Otto ordered a retreat.
  • Chris allowed Street-Sweeper to continue his purge, expanded relief and farming efforts, and arranged for the Goddess of Agriculture Church to help restore the King's Plain.
  • Alia told Chris that the former king planned to return with Minisia’s support, while Dirac offered to defend Bagnia and Chris refused to make him kill his king.
  • Chris brought most of the King's Plain under his control, distributed military farmland, and prepared ten defensive corps as Minicia and Bohemia made moves around Bagnia.
