Ke Meng woke once more and found the Black Ghosts drifting over to report the latest news to him.
"The number of mysterious adventurer teams has increased!"
"Our followers now extend as far as the Sixth Main City, though the adventurers have only just entered the Fourth Main City. The monsters near the Sixth Main City have become our eyes and ears..."
"We now have over 500 followers."
Report after report rang out beside Ke Meng's ears, leaving him very satisfied.
The Black Ghosts were reliable workers. To reward their hard work, Ke Meng silently fixed his terrifying gaze on them.
Only when they were barely clinging to life did he let the happy Black Ghosts go.
Ke Meng believed normal ghosts should not enjoy this sort of training. It was far too painful, a walk along the edge of death that would only appeal to masochists. Clearly, none of his Ghost Apostles were normal.
After watching the Black Ghosts wobble out of R'lyeh, Ke Meng glanced at the tumbling Seafood. There were no particularly unusual specimens today, either.
Come to think of it, what about making the Seafood his followers?
Ke Meng had been so busy roaming the dream world that he had never thought of tapping into these max-level monster resources.
Ke Meng silently reread the description of his follower skill. Once he confirmed that bestowing faith was a viable approach, everything clicked into place.
Ke Meng looked at the dark, lifeless R'lyeh. It was time to make a small change.
Whatever that change might bring, even if it made the game world more chaotic, Ke Meng wanted to give it a try.
First, he fixed his gaze on the inhabitants of R'lyeh, then activated his skill, bestowing faith in Cthulhu upon the
