Lightning filled the pool on the mountaintop.
There were gaps in the Wood Spirit's robe, but the lightning pool had special settings, so the assassins were not injured. Entering the pool only made their hearts pound with fear; their lives were not in danger.
Everyone searched for more than ten minutes, feeling around the entire pool, but they still could not find the ring.
"This pool is way too clean. There isn't even any rubble. Did the Wood Spirit carry off every last pebble?" one player complained.
The designer was baffled too, muttering over and over, "This shouldn't be happening. It shouldn't be like this..."
He was beginning to give up on himself. After all, this was a ring that granted a rare legacy.
They had not sent anyone to retrieve it earlier because changing to this special profession required level 450. A mage at only level 449 could not trigger the rare class-change feature.
"Not even any Level-Up Fish?"
"Nope. Apart from lightning, there's nothing here," a player replied.
The designer's vision went black. He had fainted from anger.
Before long, Orange Star's senior officials all knew that the Lightning Dharma King ring had gone missing.
"Wild monster believers took it?"
"That's the only conclusion that holds up. There's no other explanation."
After some discussion, the researchers decided to retrieve whatever items they could first.
"Cthulhu's followers are increasing in number. We need to speed up our collection efforts as soon as possible."
"But high-level areas are dangerous. Low-level players will die if they go there. Some places naturally have poisonous air. Without enough resistance, they'll keep losing health until they die."
Everyone fell silent at those words.
There was a shortcut for reaching the location of the Lightning Dharma King ring, but the vast majority of items had
