The Sealing Pavilion's days in the void were far from peaceful.
Being abandoned by the Investigation Bureau had left it somewhat melancholy, but it was not something it could not accept.
After entering the void, it had felt its allure.
Omnipresent knowledge, good and bad alike, poured into it all at once.
The Sealing Pavilion's mind stirred again. Its consciousness gradually grew excited, and it soon cast its uneasy thoughts aside.
"This is my rebirth." The Sealing Pavilion radiated excitement into the void.
At the same time, that uncanny feeling of being watched descended upon it once more without warning.
It deeply resented this unknown scrutiny. It could not tell where it came from or where it was directed. Elusive and unfathomable, it left the pavilion utterly on the defensive, as though every part of it had been laid bare.
At first, only one Unknown Being had spied on it.
But a few hours after entering the void, it sensed the gaze of another Unknown Being, whose strength was equally unfathomable. Unlike the silent being, however, this new observer spoke in a seductive voice, inviting it to join them.
A few days later, another being watched it and called out an invitation.
Over the course of two months, one group of beings secretly spying on it replaced another, again and again.
Its initial fear gave way to familiarity. Like a monkey in a zoo that grew used to being watched, it stopped reacting and would even greet its spectators.
Only, these visitors all hid themselves and were exceedingly cautious. Even when it greeted them, it did not necessarily receive an answer.
Some Unknown Beings simply played mute and ignored it entirely.
