Ke Meng was killing monsters with poison on the battlefield when players soon began to appear.
The players arrived in groups. Their levels were fairly high, all around level 200, with a fairly even spread.
This was a leveling team. To improve their efficiency, the players had grouped up to farm monsters ten or twenty levels above them.
Farming higher-level monsters in a group was both efficient and safe. It was no slower than solo farming by skilled players, and could even be faster.
Of course, that speed was only relative to ordinary skilled solo players.
There wasn't another freak like Ke Meng in the entire game who farmed monsters a hundred levels above himself.
"Look! Someone's there! Looks like he's alone."
"What's up with that guy? Both he and his sword are giving off black smoke."
"Damn, that poison is terrifying!"
He poisoned a monster to death in just over ten seconds. How absurd was that?

Yet that player poisoned a wild monster to death all by himself.

He had hidden his level, and his nickname wasn't visible either.
At this point, they could only see Ke Meng's name and level by adding him as a friend.
Alternatively, Ke Meng could reveal his level himself, but that was impossible. He still intended to blend into teams of players later, so he couldn't reveal the secret to his rapid leveling just like that.
As a result, nobody could figure out Ke Meng's level. Everyone was stunned by the poison damage
