"Analyze where A Meng went. I'm logging out to look up this bastard," the raid leader said, his face twisted with rage.
Their levels had plummeted. They had died so many times that they had lost a full fifty levels.
The only reason their levels had not fallen further was that their raid had a Special Item called the Flag of Unyielding in Death. It was something the original designers had never created, probably born after the game mutated, and it could keep a team's levels from falling below a certain threshold.
That threshold was based on the team's average level.
Of course, it had restrictions on team size. It only worked for teams of fifty to three hundred people, and the gap between the highest- and lowest-level members could not exceed two levels.
Without this special item, they would have dropped all the way to level one long ago.
"Leader, find him! Each of us will beat him up ten thousand times. Even if he ends up in the hospital, we'll keep beating him!" his teammates said furiously.
On Orange Star, dying suddenly was far too difficult. Excellent medical care could bring people back to life, and prosthetic bodies could be transplanted.
Their thinking was simple: each of them would beat him up ten thousand times. If A Meng's body broke down, they would have the hospital treat him, then resume the beatings once he recovered.
In this technological age, treatment was extremely fast. People with crippling injuries did not need to wait months or even years.
As long as they were not brain-dead, even the severely disabled could be saved.
"I'm logging out. Wait for my news, brothers." The raid leader logged out amid a stream of curses, and his body disappeared ten seconds later.
