A strange creature walked among the clouds. Its enormous body defied accurate description in any language. It had many eyes, and at least one pair of lush, feathered wings.
Its thoughts held no distinction between good and evil. Its mind was ethereal, as though it were searching for something.
Time seemed to hit fast-forward. Thousands, then tens of thousands of years passed before a ball of light appeared.
What was that? It was a dream.
Only when Ke Meng realized this did he suddenly remember to wonder what he was doing.

The ancient creature opened its mouth, swallowed the visible cluster of dreams, and slowly chewed it.

A green seed began to grow. Its roots sank ever deeper, drawing nourishment from the planet. Eventually, the seed grew into a towering, monstrous tree. Once it had drained the planet dry, it tore straight through space and escaped into the void, becoming a Void Traveler.
