Inside the Mage Tower, An Kai patted Nurnexius on the head, smiling broadly.
Just ten minutes earlier.
Working with An Kai, Nurnexius had used Summoning to summon an [Lv23] [Elite] magical beast.
As Nurnexius put it, "This fellow has wild boar blood in his ancestry. His meat is delicious, and his magical talent is pretty good too. He's one of the rarer specimens among my subordinates."
Once it was summoned, An Kai didn't even have to act. Nurnexius killed the [Elite] magical beast with wild boar ancestry with a single swipe of his claw.
Then he deftly cut open its belly and dug out a dark brown Magic Core.
He presented it to An Kai as though offering a treasure.
With the Magic Core in hand, An Kai didn't want to wait another minute.
At a thought, a pitch-black forging platform appeared, along with a small black hammer that floated in midair without anyone holding it.
An Kai placed his [Meditation Staff] on top.
Forging began!
The Magic Core shattered instantly, turning to powder. An image of its former owner flashed above the forging platform and vanished.
One minute later.
Forging complete!
