Fuxi, however, failed to understand her intentions. After giving Nuwa a wisp of his soul, he left the Wa Emperor Palace to find his dear friend Di Jun.
Nuwa was inwardly annoyed at the sight, but no longer tried to stop him.
Just as Ling Feng had said, this was Fuxi's path.
Only after watching Fuxi leave the chaos safely and return to the Primordial World did Nuwa remember Ling Feng.
"This wayward disciple still wants to leave me. Hmph, dream on! You'll never escape the palm of my hand for as long as you live."
Thinking of how Ling Feng intended to leave her and overthrow her for the Human Race, Nuwa grew a little petulant, though she remained silent outwardly.
With graceful, lotus-light steps, she came to Ling Feng's side.
"Ling Feng, did Ji Meng hurt you?"
Nuwa had originally intended to teach Ling Feng a lesson, but when she saw his somewhat tattered clothes and realized they were the result of his fight with Ji Meng, her little fit of temper vanished. Instead, she asked after him with concern.
