Background / History
Nuwa grew up with her elder brother, Fuxi. Although they eventually established separate cultivation abodes, she had never left Mount Buzhou before meeting Ling Feng. Her early life left her unfamiliar with romantic attention despite her immense age and cultivation 379 383.
A cultivation mishap caused her to cough up Heart Blood, from which a fruit tree grew. She nurtured it for years beside her cave abode. Ling Feng’s consumption of its fruit created the one-way mental connection that became central to their relationship 379.
Her original Way of Creation represented hundreds of millions of years of comprehension and contained her understanding of the Creation Law. Ling Feng’s concealed knowledge later revealed both higher cultivation realms and a future in which she would create humanity—knowledge that redirected her pursuit of the Dao 382 383 418.
Appearance
Nuwa is depicted as exceptionally beautiful, with fair skin, phoenix eyes, and an imposing divine presence. Her appearance carries a visible resonance of the Dao, which becomes still more profound after she attains Primordial Unity 379 450.
- Phoenix eyes: Express both commanding authority and her frequently concealed amusement or embarrassment 379 380.
- Human-shaped appearance: Ling Feng observes long legs rather than the snake-bodied form he expected 380.
- Slender waist and graceful posture: Described alongside a jade-white, swanlike neck 453.
- Dao resonance: After her breakthrough, she appears detached from worldly things and surrounded by an unmistakably sacred presence 450.
Personality
Initially curious and playful, Nuwa enjoys teasing Ling Feng rather than insisting on strict seniority. His poetic praise delights her, while his romantic fantasies repeatedly leave her blushing and flustered. She conceals these reactions—and her access to his thoughts—to continue investigating his origins 379 380 382.
Her generosity coexists with pride and possessiveness. She gives Ling Feng treasures and her hard-earned cultivation method, but also uses overwhelming force to make him her attendant and later invokes a master–disciple relationship to prevent him from leaving. As her affection deepens, his growing strength and relationships with other women unsettle her 380 383 409 516.
Nuwa is intensely devoted to cultivation and increasingly values independence over status. Once she understands Hongjun’s intentions, she rejects his prescribed route to sainthood. Her commitment to humanity likewise develops from concern for her creations into a public willingness to share their survival and destruction, even at the cost of her Demon Race ties 386 444 456 462.
Despite her earlier controlling behavior toward Ling Feng, she eventually respects the secrecy of his cultivation. She chooses not to question his unusual methods or suppressed realm unless he seeks her advice 471.
Abilities & Skills
Creation Law and the Way of Creation
Nuwa’s principal cultivation specialty is creation. Her original method can lead a sufficiently talented practitioner to the Great Luo realm; the later Primordial Unity Creation Dao provides a route to Golden Immortal of the Primordial Origin 383 444.
- Creates humanity using three lights divine water, nine heavens breath soil, and the Gourd Vine 450.
- Models the first human figures on herself and Ling Feng, then uses the vine to produce hundreds of thousands more 450.
- Completes her Creation Law through humanity’s birth 450.
- Creates Wa Emperor Heaven within Chaos and causes its golden palace to form 451.
- Deepens her comprehension of the creation Great Dao through Ling Feng’s Enlightenment Tea 453.
One-Way Mental Connection
Nuwa hears Ling Feng’s thoughts because he consumed fruit containing the essence of her Heart Blood. He cannot hear her thoughts in return 379.
- Learns about future tribulations, higher realms, treasures, and Hongjun’s schemes from his inner monologue 382 384 444.
- Keeps the connection secret to obtain information he would otherwise conceal 380 382.
- After attaining Primordial Unity, can hear him more clearly, at least anywhere within her cave abode 450.
- Allows him to believe that her perception comes through the Human Dao 474.
- Cannot hear the thoughts of the clone presented to her in Chapter 514; this discrepancy exposes the substitution 514.
Human Dao Authority
As the Human Dao’s recognized mistress, Nuwa can draw upon its power. Her relationship with it strengthens as humanity prospers and offers faith, fortune, and merit 457 471.
- Receives eighty-one dragons of fortune and vast Human Dao merit when her authority is recognized 457.
- Uses that empowerment to reach the fourth realm of Primordial Unity 457.
- Gains clearer access to the Great Dao and sufficient support to confront Hongjun, though not to exceed him 457.
- Receives worship through her Holy Mother statue and returns blessings to humanity 471.
- Her power remains tied to a Human Dao that is still weaker than the Heavenly Dao 457.
Divine Power and Dharma Manifestation
Nuwa’s strength vastly exceeds that of ordinary immortals and Quasi-Saints 380 457 461.
- Demonstrates her early power by slicing through the heavens and destroying stars 380.
- Grievously injures Laozi’s divine body with a single glance 457.
- Manifests an immense cloud-and-mist Dharma body to suppress Ji Meng and an invading Demon army 460.
- Overpowers Di Jun in his Three-Legged Golden Crow form 461.
- Contains the resulting battle energy to prevent damage to Human territory 461.
- Expels Demon invaders and seals Human territory against them 462.
Dharma Sight, Formations, and Divination
Discussions with Fuxi give Nuwa considerable formation expertise. She combines it with magical sight and divination 382 388.
- Uses Dharma Sight to identify a concealed formation, then breaks it with ease 388.
- Spends several months deciphering the innate grand array concealing the Heavenly Court 392.
- Confirms through divination that realms exist above Daluo Golden Immortal 382.
- Uses Holy Light Illumination to expose the Lunar Star’s formations 516.
- Shields a conversation from heavenly divination 516.
- Her scrutiny does not immediately expose the impostors posing as Di Jun and Taiyi 512 514.
Dao Instruction and Protection
Nuwa teaches both Ling Feng and the Human Race, while providing magical protection against dangers they cannot withstand alone 387 452.
- Her instruction helps Ling Feng reach middle-stage True Immortal and, later, Golden Immortal 387 410.
- Channels power into him to shield him from Pangu’s pressure on Mount Buzhou 387.
- Creates human cultivation methods and a spirit stele containing her divine essence and protective power 452.
- Reinforces the barrier around Human lands while guarding Ling Feng’s breakthrough 472.
- Issues emergency contact items that allow recipients to summon her assistance 460 505.

- Transparent Pearl — Ling Feng’s gift containing the Primordial Unity Creation Dao, which enables her to abandon Heavenly Dao sainthood 444 451.
- Human-creation materials — Three lights divine water, nine heavens breath soil, and the Gourd Vine. The vine receives part of humanity’s creation merit and becomes an acquired spiritual treasure of merit 450.

- Spirit stele — Bestows cultivation methods upon humanity and allows Nuwa to sense crises through the divine essence placed within it 452.
Relationships
- Ling Feng — Initially her compelled attendant, later her eldest disciple and the Human Sect’s eldest disciple. His thoughts and gifts reshape her Dao and political choices. Their bond develops into trust and romantic attraction; she kisses his cheek, guards his breakthrough, and becomes jealous of his relationship with the Lunar Goddesses. No formal marriage is established in the provided chapters 380 409 453 458 472 516.
- Fuxi — Elder brother and longtime companion. His loyalty to Di Jun strains their relationship, but Nuwa secures a wisp of his soul after learning of his destined death and future reincarnation as the Human Celestial Sovereign 379 461 463 464.

- Tongtian — Regarded more favorably than his brothers for his straightforward conduct. Nuwa receives him warmly when he apologizes for Laozi’s dispute with her 454 464.
