"Wh-what happened here?" Li Xiaoya and the One-Horned Tiger-Lion Beast cried out in astonishment at the sight before them.
The ground ahead was riddled with enormous craters, the largest spanning dozens of miles. Strewn throughout them were the corpses of gigantic demon beasts with bloated bodies, pairs of horns, vaguely bovine heads, and black-and-red markings. There seemed to be hundreds upon thousands of them. The enormous Metal Passage also looked as though it had been struck by some unimaginably powerful magic or demon beast, leaving it crooked and horribly caved in. Anyone who was not blind could tell that a tremendous battle had taken place here...
"Ah! What incredible power! Who did this? They killed so many Charging Bull Beasts, and who knows where that three-headed Charging Bull Beast went!" the One-Horned Tiger-Lion Beast said, its leonine-tiger head taking on a contemplative expression.
"Whoever did it, someone seems to be ahead of us!" Li Xiaoya said gravely. Someone came to mind: Demonfire. Didn't that fellow come in here? I haven't seen him at all. Could this have been his doing? But Demonfire is only at the late Great Void stage. Surely no single Great Void Stage Cultivator could kill this many Charging Bull Beasts. Besides, there seems to be an unpleasant scent hanging in the air... With that thought, he looked toward the Charging Bull Beast corpses. Suddenly, his eyes narrowed, and he was about to speak...
"Demonic qi?" the One-Horned Tiger-Lion Beast exclaimed, apparently noticing something as well. Clearly, it had also detected the extremely faint demonic qi lingering in the air. Its voice lowered, carrying a note of disgust.
"Could it be the Devil Race?" Li Xiaoya asked solemnly. He clearly had not expected to encounter the Devil Race here, and naturally, he had no fondness for them.
