"What?" Li Xiaoya looked up at her words. As the golden light spun, something black whirled rapidly along with it. The whooshing sounds came from that black, rope-like object.
"Why does that look like a rope? I remember it wasn't there when we came in," Li Xiaoya said in confusion. Though so much time had passed, he still remembered clearly that there had been no pitch-black rope where the golden light swirled.
"Yes, that's right," Zhang Hong agreed. When they first came in, the golden light overhead had spun fiercely, but it had made no sound at all. The rope made such a loud noise as it spun that they could not possibly have missed it. Naturally, it must have appeared after they were locked in the sealed chamber.
"Could someone have thrown it in on purpose?" Li Xiaoya guessed, unaware that the one who had thrown the rope in was the Black Qilin. Indeed, this pitch-black rope was the very one the Black Qilin had left on the gravity staircase back then. Who would have thought it would still be here more than a decade later?
"Probably," Zhang Hong agreed.
"Uh, who could it have been? Could someone have come to rescue us? But why didn't we see anyone?" Li Xiaoya offered one guess after another.
"If we go out through the top, we'll be surrounded by Demon Beasts. There's a Teleportation Formation over there, so let's teleport out instead," Zhang Hong said.
"True." Li Xiaoya also remembered that when they first entered, Zhang Hong and the others had all been dazed by the golden light, while he had felt so sick that he nearly fainted himself.
