Li Xiaoya and Dong Santong helped the Du Household win control of Heavenly Lake City, then advanced to the Mystic Heaven Way selection after forming Golden Cores. The group passed its first trials and arrived at the final contest arena, where they encountered Ji Fazi and Ji Xingzi.

• Qi Qinglong defeated Du Kang, but Dong Santong defeated Qi Qinglong and later knocked Jin Xiao unconscious before leaving the arena to confront a spectator.
• Li Xiaoya defeated Ji Fazi and more than twenty challengers, securing the Du Household’s rule over Heavenly Lake City for thirty years.
• The Nine Profound Fairy recognized Li Xiaoya and Dong Santong’s origins and warned the rival families not to harm them, while the Iron Lady prepared the Du Household for a future Core Family selection.
• Dong Santong formed his Golden Core, and Li Xiaoya later broke through after practicing the Dragon-Devouring God-Reversal Art, and meanwhile, Dong Santong, the Iron Lady, and Du Chengfeng retrieved the Du Household’s ancestral treasure.

• The Du Household reached the final contest arena and registered as group thirty-four, where Li Xiaoya encountered Ji Fazi and Ji Xingzi.

The Du Household won its tournament match and became the first Core Family before the Demonic Path attacked the selection gathering with the Demon Gang Formation. Li Xiaoya and Dong Santong disrupted the formation and fought alongside Nine Profound Fairy, then escaped as the barrier shattered and returned toward the fallen Five-Colored Light Curtain.

• Du Chengfeng, Iron Lady, and Dong Santong defeated the Xu Household, with Li Xiaoya beating Madam Golden Flower in the deciding bout, and the Du Household was declared the first Core Family.
• Ji Xingzi defeated Bai Longfei after he conceded before her giant blue sword struck, while a purple-robed cultivator gathered demonic forces to attack the tournament.
• The Black Demon Young Master’s forces raised the Demon Gang Formation around the gathering, and Nine Profound Fairy, Icy Daoist, and Blazing Flame Daoist broke through the barrier to fight outside.

Li Xiaoya and Dong Santong took refuge at Mystic Heaven Way, where Li Xiaoya faced a challenge over Ouyang Qianru and pursued a way to return to the Great Illusion Continent. After more than a year, his exceptional-grade magic treasure drew the mountain’s elders to his cave, where a gathering ended with Master Long trading for materials and staying behind with the Nine Profound Fairy.

• Li Xiaoya survived the Demonic Path’s ambush with help from Dong Santong and the Righteous Path, then discovered and destroyed bugs that were spreading demonic qi through his arm.
• Li Xiaoya and Dong Santong joined Mystic Heaven Way, where Li Xiaoya learned its Super Teleportation Formation could no longer reliably reach its destination.
• The Nine Profound Fairy proposed Li Xiaoya as a Dual Cultivation Partner for Ouyang Qianru, but Li Xiaoya said he already had a partner and agreed only to spend time with Qianru before deciding anything.
• Bo Gu challenged Li Xiaoya over his closeness to Qianru, and Li Xiaoya broke free of Bo Gu’s weapons and Steel Ring before their match ended without a clear victor.
• Qianru moved her Heaven-and-Earth Treasure Tower into Li Xiaoya’s cave abode, showed him its treasures, and promised to cultivate diligently after he urged her to rely on herself.
• Over a year later, Second Better finished Li Xiaoya’s exceptional-grade Shaking-Heaven Divine Fire Staff, whose appearance drew a crowd of Mystic Heaven Way cultivators to his cave.
• Master Long asked Li Xiaoya to become his disciple, then held a cultivation and trading gathering in Li Xiaoya’s cave, where Li Xiaoya exchanged four rare materials for the Heavenly Feather Wings.
• After the elders’ gathering ended, Li Xiaoya saw the visitors out, but the Nine Profound Fairy and Master Long stayed behind.

Li Xiaoya was captured by the Heavenly Earth Demon Sect, but Dong Santong helped him escape with Li San, who led him to his mother. After Li San’s betrayal, Li Xiaoya reunited with his mother and learned about the Li Family’s destruction, the Immortal Dao Chain, and his imprisoned father.

• Li Xiaoya and Master Long staged a confrontation to spur Ouyang Qianru’s determination, while Li Xiaoya trained with his Heavenly Feather Wings and refined treasures with Second Better.
• Li Xiaoya sparred with Dong Santong and Bo Gu, then demonstrated the Shaking-Heaven Divine Fire Staff as Hua Xiuxian agreed to help Shadow lure him into a trap.
• The Heavenly Earth Demon Sect elders captured Li Xiaoya, and Master Long, Old Monster Ouyang, Dong Santong, and Blue Ice pursued them to a teleportation formation.

• Li Xiaoya discovered that his mother’s golden core and divine sense were sealed, and she told him to delay revenge until he was strong enough.
• Li Mother explained that the Heavenly Earth Demon Sect had destroyed the Li Family and imprisoned Li Muzhi, and Li Xiaoya proposed trading the Immortal Dao Chain to free his father.
