After returning to the Human Realm, Li Xiaoya rescued four cultivators while investigators pursued the mystery of the Zhang Household massacre.

• Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong escaped the Golden Vortex with Black Xiu’s help, and he explained that the teleportation key was hidden in the Maze Passage.
• Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong searched the Maze Passage, defeated the Mechanism Beast King, and freed him from his reinforced Mechanism Beast in exchange for treasures and knowledge.
• Li Xiaoya failed to reach the Ten-Thousand-Year Fire Spirit Cauldron, then agreed to take the Mechanism Beast King, whom he renamed Second Better, out of the city.

Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong investigated the Zhang Household massacre, returned to the Heavenly Dao Sect, and sought help from their senior brothers and masters. After Zhang Hong began preparing to condense her Golden Core, Li Xiaoya brought his recovered artifacts to the sect for appraisal and sale.

• Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong joined Zhou Xiaoya to recover her stolen treasures, discovered that their map fragments formed a treasure map, and swore a Blood Oath Contract to search together.
• At Zhang Family Market, Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong learned that the Zhang Household had been massacred and that Liu Hang had disappeared after a battle with Fire Dragon Palace cultivators.
• Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong argued over whether he should return to the sect, then reconciled after he searched for her and apologized.

Li Xiaoya joined the investigation into the Lin Family massacre, where the survivors revealed that a demon had destroyed the family. The search led him and the other cultivators into an underground formation, where they faced the Sting Demon General and a second monster.

• Li Xiaoya met Liu Xin'er, gathered materials for Second Better, and discovered the Dragon-Devouring God-Reversal Art in the Scripture Pavilion.
• After the Heavenly Dao Sect learned of the Lin Family massacre, Li Xiaoya accepted Xuandaozi’s mission to assist Jiang Lingzi and protect the investigating disciples.
• At the Lin Family estate, Li Xiaoya reunited with Zhang Cai and Dong Santong, and the group learned that the Lin Family Head had survived but lost her cultivation and soul.
• The awakened Lin Family Head revealed that a monster had massacred her family, and Li Xiaoya recognized the aged voice she remembered.

Li Xiaoya and Dong Santong were pulled through a failed teleportation into the Tianyuan Continent, where they learned that returning home would require a dangerous super teleportation formation. They agreed to fight for the Du Household in Heavenly Lake City’s ruling-lineage competition, while rival families began plotting against them.

• The Sting Demon General killed Fairy Green Lotus and badly injured Zhang Cai before Li Xiaoya wounded him, and Zhang Cai trapped him in a formation while Li Xiaoya, Dong Santong, and Blue Ice pursued the Devastation Devil Lord.
• The Devastation Devil Lord activated a restriction that pulled Li Xiaoya and Dong Santong into a vortex, while Blue Ice entered after them and landed alone in a desert.
• Li Xiaoya and Dong Santong found the Devastation Devil Lord’s Pearl and learned that he had controlled Ma Weiqi’s body and altered the Overlord Art in an attempt to control Li Xiaoya.
• Zhang Cai was ordered to find Li Xiaoya and Dong Santong and reach the Nascent Soul Realm, while the missing pair traveled through the Human Realm and reached a city in the Tianyuan Continent.
• Du Chengfeng explained that super teleportation formations might return them to the Great Illusion Continent, and Li Xiaoya and Dong Santong demonstrated their strength to the Du Household.
• After sparring with Du Chengfeng, Li Xiaoya and Dong Santong agreed to compete for the Du Household in exchange for Spirit-Stabilizing Pills and permission to leave once they reached the Nascent Soul Realm or could return home.
