Background / History

Ah Yin originated from the Blue Silver Forest and became the Blue Silver Grass Clan’s emperor through her clansmen’s collective faith. She later took human form, fell in love with Tang Hao, and passed her Blue Silver Emperor bloodline to their son, Tang San. She sacrificed herself for Tang Hao and maintained that she had never regretted doing so 17 18.

Her imperial bloodline allowed her to survive the sacrifice and regrow as Blue Silver Grass. Rather than returning her seed to the Blue Silver Forest, Tang Hao placed her in a cave behind a waterfall. She remained there for six years without daylight, explaining his decision as an attempt to protect her from Spirit Hall 17 18.

Lu Xuan visited the cave with Xiao Wu while seeking Ah Yin and her hundred-thousand-year right leg soul bone. Xiao Wu recognized her and questioned why she had not been returned to her forest. When Lu Xuan criticized Tang Hao’s treatment of her, Ah Yin defended him and warned Xiao Wu that Lu Xuan might be keeping her for her soul ring and soul bone 16 17.

Lu Xuan’s Blue Silver Emperor initially nourished Ah Yin’s grass body, but its manifestation also stripped away her remaining imperial bloodline. He suggested that her clan had chosen a new emperor after her abandonment of its responsibilities; Ah Yin rejected that explanation. His further suggestion that Tang Hao might have knowingly exposed her to Spirit Hall remained an accusation, not an established fact 17 18.

Lu Xuan uprooted and crushed her true body while she continued defending Tang Hao. Her spirit dissolved completely, leaving nothing from which she could regrow. He then retrieved the soul bone hidden in the cave. Elsewhere, Tang Hao experienced an unexplained sense of loss and later realized that it might concern Ah Yin 18 19.

Appearance

  • Spirit form: A hazy silhouette that solidifies into a woman wearing a blue dress, with blue hair, blue eyes, and gentle features 17.
  • Post-sacrifice body: A small stalk of Blue Silver Grass emitting an extremely faint glow 17.
  • Imperial markings: Faint golden patterns remain on her grass body until her Blue Silver Emperor bloodline disappears 18.

Personality

Ah Yin is unwaveringly devoted to Tang Hao. She cherishes their time together, considers her sacrifice an expression of love, and refuses to accept Lu Xuan’s criticism of him. Even after losing her imperial bloodline, she continues defending Tang Hao 17 18.

She distrusts humans generally while treating Tang Hao as an exception. Her warning to Xiao Wu reflects concern for a fellow soul beast, but Lu Xuan challenges the contradiction between that distrust and her own relationship with a human. She is also proud of her imperial identity, insisting that another Blue Silver Emperor cannot inherit the throne without her abdication 17.

Initially defiant when threatened, Ah Yin declares that she will not beg for mercy. Once she realizes that destruction without her bloodline will be permanent, her defiance gives way to fear and pleading 18.

Abilities & Skills

Blue Silver Emperor Bloodline

  • Sustained her survival and regrowth after sacrifice, allowing her to remain conscious for six years in the cave 18.
  • Was associated with her imperial position and the faith of the Blue Silver Grass Clan 17.
  • Disappeared completely upon Lu Xuan’s manifestation of his own Blue Silver Emperor, leaving her an ordinary grass soul beast 18.

Human Transformation and Martial Soul

  • Took human form and possessed a Blue Silver Grass martial soul 6 17.
  • Tang Hao had witnessed her abilities but regarded their offense and control as weak, valuing primarily their vitality; this assessment is his opinion 6.
  • Passed her imperial bloodline to Tang San 17.

Post-Sacrifice Spirit Manifestation

  • Could project a recognizable female spirit above her grass body, speak, and recognize Xiao Wu 17.
  • Her spirit weakened immediately when Lu Xuan uprooted her body and vanished when that body was destroyed 18.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone — A soul bone originating from Ah Yin, hidden in a heavy lead box behind a mechanism in the cave wall. Lu Xuan retrieves it after killing her 18.
    • After Lu Xuan absorbs it, Revival restores a target’s soul power, stamina, and vitality, with passive activation possible near death 19.
    • Its other resulting skill, Blue Silver Wings, grants flight until the target’s soul power is exhausted. These are Lu Xuan’s documented acquired skills, not abilities demonstrated by Ah Yin 19.

Relationships

  • Tang Hao — Human partner and the recipient of her sacrifice. She remains devoted to him and interprets her concealment in the cave as protection from Spirit Hall 17 18.
  • Tang San — Son; inherited her Blue Silver Emperor bloodline 17.
  • Xiao Wu — Old acquaintance and fellow soul beast. Their reunion begins warmly, but Ah Yin’s distrust of Lu Xuan places Xiao Wu between her old friend and her teacher 17.
  • Lu Xuan — Possessor of a rival Blue Silver Emperor martial soul and her killer. Although he claims he originally intended to rescue her, obtaining her soul bone is his principal objective 17 18.
  • Blue Silver Grass Clan — Her former subjects, whose faith raised her to the imperial throne. Lu Xuan accuses her of abandoning them for human life and love; she denies betraying them 17 18.
