Two people, one room

Dai Jinge found a casual excuse and left the Zhu Family estate with Zhu Zhuqing.

"Armor up!"

With a thought, Dai Jinge summoned the [White Tiger Power Lock] onto his wrist.

A silver gleam flashed across the surface of the [White Tiger Power Lock]. A moment later, armor appeared on Dai Jinge's body. Apart from his mouth, he was covered in silver armor and black leather, with an azure visor over his eyes.

At the sight, Zhu Zhuqing's beautiful eyes sparkled, while questions filled her mind.

"Ding!"

Dai Jinge raised his left hand high, and the [White Tiger Power Lock] on his wrist flashed silver.

"Tiger Roaring Flash Chariot!"

Boom!

Suddenly, a roar resounded through the street, and the [Tiger Roaring Flash Chariot], silver-white all over and resembling a white tiger, appeared before Dai Jinge.

Dai Jinge climbed on and twisted the throttle. The [Tiger Roaring Flash Chariot] let out a fierce roar, its rumbling sending the surrounding people scattering out of the way.

"Zhu Zhuqing, sit behind me."

Dai Jinge extended a hand to Zhu Zhuqing in invitation.

"Okay~"

Filled with anticipation, Zhu Zhuqing took Dai Jinge's hand and sat behind him.

Dai Jinge placed Zhu Zhuqing's hands around his waist and instructed her, "Hold on to my waist and sit tight."

"Mm~"

Zhu Zhuqing nodded gently and wrapped her arms tightly around Dai Jinge's waist, her cheek unconsciously resting against his back. The armor was a little cold, but it soon warmed up.

Dai Jinge twisted the throttle, and the [Tiger Roaring Flash Chariot] shot toward the nearest gate, the North City Gate, like an arrow loosed from a bow. Once there, he ignored the guards and sped straight out.

He had not wasted these past few years. Besides cultivating to improve his strength, he had also gathered information useful to him, such as the Breaking Clan's current situation.

His first stop after leaving Star Luo City with Zhu Zhuqing was the city where the Breaking Clan lived.

Wind swept past her ears. Watching the scenery race by on either side, Zhu Zhuqing exclaimed, "We're so fast!"

Dai Jinge smiled. "If the road weren't so bumpy, we could go even faster."

Zhu Zhuqing finally voiced the questions on her mind. "Jinge, what is this thing we're riding? Why can it go so fast? And, and... what's with the armor you're wearing?"

Dai Jinge thought for a moment, then decided to explain it in a way Zhu Zhuqing could understand:

"Zhu Zhuqing, just think of all these things as special Soul Tools."

Zhu Zhuqing nodded, only half understanding.

She glanced back. As Star Luo City grew ever more distant, a sense of freedom welled up within her.

"Zhu Zhuqing, have you ever flown?"

Dai Jinge suddenly remembered that the [Tiger Roaring Flash Chariot] could switch into flight mode.

"Flown? No!"

Zhu Zhuqing blinked and asked, "Jinge, can you fly?"

"Of course!"

Dai Jinge grinned and brought the [Tiger Roaring Flash Chariot] to a sudden stop.

"Get off first."

Zhu Zhuqing obediently nodded.

Dai Jinge took Zhu Zhuqing half a step back, then raised his hand and pressed the [White Tiger Power Lock].

"Ding!"

A silver gleam flashed across the surface of the [White Tiger Power Lock]. Just then, the [Tiger Roaring Flash Chariot] activated on its own and shot into the sky!

"Wow!"

Zhu Zhuqing's eyes widened in astonishment.

Dai Jinge smiled faintly as the [Tiger Roaring Flash Chariot] began transforming before his eyes.

Two seconds later, it had changed from a motorcycle into a flying craft and descended before Dai Jinge.

The [Tiger Roaring Flash Chariot] had three forms. The first was a motorcycle; the second was the flying craft before them, which they could stand directly on. As for the third, it was also a flying craft, but it could link with its user.

Watching this miraculous sight, Zhu Zhuqing exclaimed, "Jinge, this thing of yours is amazing!"

"It's pretty good."

Dai Jinge grinned, stepped onto the back of the [Tiger Roaring Flash Chariot], and invited Zhu Zhuqing over.

"Stand in front of me. I'll hold you steady."

"We'll be flying very fast in a moment."

A faint blush colored Zhu Zhuqing's cheeks, and a bashful smile appeared on her face. She carefully stepped onto the back of the [Tiger Roaring Flash Chariot] and stood in front of Dai Jinge...

"Boom!"

A white streak cut across the sky. On closer inspection, it was Dai Jinge piloting the [Tiger Roaring Flash Chariot], holding Zhu Zhuqing in his arms as they flew at tremendous speed.

The [Tiger Roaring Flash Chariot] flew through the sky much faster than it traveled on the ground.

More importantly, there were no bumps.

"Jinge, I... I'm having trouble breathing..."

The fierce wind whipped Zhu Zhuqing's long, raven-black hair into disarray. Her little face was deathly pale, and she did not even dare lower her head to look down.

"Then turn around. Be careful."

"You have to hold me tight. I don't want to fall off and die like this..."

Zhu Zhuqing swallowed, closed her eyes, and slowly turned around.

Dai Jinge tightened his arms, simply drawing Zhu Zhuqing firmly against his chest. Yet that alone allowed her to breathe more easily.

The reason Dai Jinge was not in the same state as Zhu Zhuqing was the enhancement from the [White Tiger Power Lock].

A tenfold boost to combat power was no simple matter.

Evening arrived.

Cangxuan City.

After suffering a devastating blow nine years ago, the Breaking Clan had relocated here to rest and recover.

"One room, please."

Dai Jinge handed over a gold card containing tens of thousands of Gold Soul Coins, savings he had accumulated over the years.

The receptionist glanced at Dai Jinge and Zhu Zhuqing. Though they both looked very young, that was not his business.

"Here are your key and card. Please keep them safe."

Dai Jinge took both items and clasped Zhu Zhuqing's slender, delicate hand. "Let's go upstairs."

Zhu Zhuqing could not help growing nervous. Although she and Dai Jinge were already engaged, she had never shared a room with someone of the opposite sex.

She could not help worrying whether Dai Jinge would do something to her once night fell...

The Star Luo Imperial Family's eldest prince, Dai Weisi, its second prince, and its third prince, Dai Mubai, were all womanizers. Even though Dai Weisi was engaged to her older sister, Zhu Zhuyun, Zhu Zhuyun was not the only woman he liked.

He patted Zhu Zhuqing's shoulder, took out his toiletries, and entered the bathroom to wash away his exhaustion.

Before long, he emerged from the bathroom to find Zhu Zhuqing sitting nervously on the edge of the bed, her hands clasped together and her legs and feet pressed tightly against each other.

When she saw Dai Jinge come out of the bathroom, Zhu Zhuqing's heartbeat quickened and her delicate body tensed. Her large, lively eyes stared at him without blinking.

"What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"

Dai Jinge's expression turned odd, then he lay down on the sofa.

"Jinge, what are you..."

Zhu Zhuqing froze for a moment, looking bewildered.

Dai Jinge closed his eyes and said softly, "I'll sleep on the sofa from now on. We may be engaged, but we aren't actually married yet. I only booked one room because I was worried you wouldn't be safe staying alone."

"Get some rest."

Zhu Zhuqing remained stunned for a long while. When she came back to her senses, the corners of her lips rose unconsciously, and warmth filled her heart.
