"Don't move unless you want to die."
Li Douyu drew out a length of razor blade and held it against the driver's neck.
The driver raised both hands high and stayed perfectly still.
Li Douyu reached toward his trouser pocket, trying to pull out the gun.
Then the driver caught her with a surprise attack.
The driver's seat abruptly reclined, catching Li Douyu off guard. The driver then actually grabbed the thin blade, wrenched it out of her hand, and punched her in the shoulder.
The baby in the car suddenly began wailing. The driver gave the infant a disgusted look but did nothing to it. Instead, he got out, dragged Li Douyu from the car, and kicked her down onto the lawn before drawing his handgun and chambering a round.
A strange chant suddenly rang out.
"Low Earth, High River, let mist bewilder the heart. By your borrowed authority, overturn the heavens. Hear my words as commands-Seize!"
As the Hypnotist thrust both hands forward, the driver fell into a daze before he could react, staring helplessly at the handgun in his hand.
The Hypnotist pulled Li Douyu to her feet and handed her the driver's gun, chuckling. "Well? Want to learn?"
A gunshot interrupted him.
The Hypnotist looked at the bloody hole in his abdomen and shook his head helplessly.
"Looks like I won't get to teach you."
Li Douyu watched in shock as the plump Hypnotist slowly crumpled onto the grass and finally closed his eyes.
The gunfire outside suddenly intensified. Clearly, the Police Officer's people had arrived. After killing the Hypnotist, the man in sunglasses walked up to Nanmen Yingyun, his gun in hand and irritation written across his face.
There was not a trace of pity in his eyes as he looked at the blood-soaked woman in blue robes. He aimed at her head and was about to pull the trigger.
Two shots rang out, and two bullets suddenly flew past, grazing his body.
"You deserve to die!" Like a demon that had crawled out of hell, Li Douyu gripped the handgun with both hands and fired wildly at the man in sunglasses.
Unfortunately, her first two shots went wide. Neither hit him.
The man in sunglasses reacted and returned fire. The two began shooting at each other as they circled the car.
Li Douyu let out a muffled groan. Looking at the blood blooming across her chest, she gradually lost consciousness.
Clutching his wound, the man in sunglasses barely managed to climb into the driver's seat. He floored the accelerator and sped away.

The alerts before him gradually shifted from yellow to red. Number Two watched in silence.
He had already sensed Zhang Youzhi's soul body racing toward the scene of the incident.
Unless something unexpected had happened, the second so-called Grade S emotional disaster carrier was Zhang Youzhi. Number Two had long suspected that Zhang Youzhi and Li Douyu were inseparable-if either died, the other was doomed as well.
Judging by the relative position of Zhang Youzhi's rapidly moving soul body, both of them were probably at the center of the incident.

Instead, he was more concerned about the negative repercussions of the incident itself, which was approaching Grade A.
"Anyone who gets in my way dies!" Li Fei roared as he led an armed squad into the criminals' den ahead of the main force.
The seven of them swiftly cut down the guards, but hidden sentries inside the residential complex still inflicted heavy casualties on the squad.
Before long, four of them were out of action.
Li Fei leaned out to return fire. Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that such a terrifying armed criminal organization could exist in the Great Zhou Kingdom. These people's combat proficiency was far beyond that of mere human traffickers.
More gun-wielding criminals closed in around them.
So the men patrolling outside with automatic crossbows had only been bait! A large number of armed combatants had been hiding in the abandoned buildings.
Who exactly were these people? Did they think Songjiang City had no one capable of stopping them?
Just as Li Fei and his squad fell into a desperate situation, a softly spoken sentence reached their ears.

Expressionless, Zhang Youzhi floated into the air, surveying every firing position in the complex from above. Then he swallowed the smaller portion of the Golden Pill wrapped in his spectral form.
Another fierce burst of fireworks erupted in the sky. At the same time, countless illumination flares rose from every direction.
The White Jade Capital Company's combat division and the main force of the Songjiang City police had arrived!
The entire area was lit up like daylight. Police armored vehicles pushed in, supported by several helicopters, successfully completing the encirclement.

The people inside continued their desperate resistance, but the assaults organized by the large police force gradually broke them down. Fortunately, most of the children had already been loaded into shipping containers and driven away from the scene.
Roadblocks had already been set up. They would not get far with the children.
The White Jade Capital Company's combat division distinguished itself, greatly reducing casualties during the assault.
While the main force swept through the residential complex, Si Weizhe found Nanmen Yingyun lying in a pool of blood. Cradling her in one arm, he used the various company tools in his other hand to carve a path out, successfully breaking through and joining up with Gu Yu, who had come to meet them.
On the highway,
a Mercedes riddled with holes was speeding out of the city.
"Daddy made money. Lots and lots of money. Don't be scared."
The man in sunglasses drove while softly soothing the baby in the back seat.
"Daddy will take you away from this place soon. Shall I find you a mommy?"
"No one will ever find us. We'll hide."
"Good boy. Don't cry. Daddy hates children who cry."
The man took off his sunglasses and reached into the back seat with one hand, wanting to stroke his son.
But all he touched was a tiny, cold corpse.
The man froze and looked back in disbelief.
At the very center of the residential complex,
Zhang Youzhi held Li Douyu in his arms and fed the remaining half of the Golden Pill into her mouth. He carefully wiped the blood from her face, then warmed her body with what little warmth he had.
The two of them simply sat there in silence.
More than a dozen corpses lay sprawled around Zhang Youzhi.
Feeling that faint, barely perceptible heartbeat, the boy pressed his cheek against the girl's body.
"Douyu, shall I sing you a song?"
"Big winter melon, carrying a watermelon~ After the watermelon, carry a pumpkin..."
Holding Li Douyu, Zhang Youzhi gently patted her back and sang softly, as though soothing a child.
"Big winter melon, carrying a pumpkin~ After the pumpkin, carry a silly little thing..."
His voice was very soft, as though he feared disturbing the person sleeping soundly in his arms.
