A man wearing a black robe and an orange Spiral Mask stepped out of the vortex.
Only his right eye was visible, a scarlet light gleaming in its socket.
His Three-Tomoe Sharingan stood out starkly in the darkness.
"Shimura Danzō, you've got quite a temper."
The Masked Man's voice echoed through the spacious office, tinged with mockery.
Danzo stared at his Sharingan, alarm bells ringing in his head.
The barriers around the Root Base were extremely tight. Outsiders simply couldn't get in.
Yet this man had appeared here without a sound.
And he possessed a Sharingan.
"Are you from the Uchiha?"
"Did Fugaku send you here to threaten me?"
Danzo demanded loudly, tightening his grip on his kunai.
The Masked Man chuckled.
"Fugaku?"
"That coward who does nothing but try to smooth things over between his Family and the village?"
"He's not worthy of ordering me around."
The Masked Man casually walked over to the nearby sofa, sat down, and crossed his legs.
"You may call me Madara Uchiha."
Danzo's pupil abruptly contracted.
Madara Uchiha?
The man who fought the First Hokage for control of the village and ultimately died at the Valley of the End?
How was that possible!
"Nonsense!"
"Madara Uchiha died long ago."
"Who are you really, and why have you infiltrated Root?"
Danzo didn't believe a word of it.
The Masked Man spread his hands.
"Believe what you like."
"I didn't come here today to discuss my identity."
"I came to offer you a solution to your problem."
He pointed at the documents scattered across the floor.
"I hear you suffered quite a setback at the Hokage Building today."
"A brat named Uchiha Chikage left you utterly humiliated."
"Not only did you lose money, but you also lost four elite operatives."
Danzo's expression turned extremely ugly.
