The Baina Robe lay at ease in the Warp, its little hem curling and uncurling like an old grandmother listening to opera in a rocking chair.
Everything was lovely. A little sunshine to bask in would have made it even better.
It was not entirely slacking off. At the moment, it was eavesdropping on two Chaos Daemons.
One daemon told the other, "Trust me, that world is full of people who want to indulge themselves. I went there last time, and it was amazing. If I'm lying, may I run into that Astartes in the white helmet and white armor the moment I step outside."
The other daemon said, "Swear it on the Warp. If you lie, you'll really run into him."
Then the lying daemon ran away.
Boring.
The Baina Robe stretched, then drifted leisurely through the Warp. Brilliant beams of light caught its attention. Some resembled ones it had seen before, while others were rare and powerful.
It slowly floated toward them, hoping to enjoy the spectacle.
The bizarre Warp contained countless strange sights, but even so, the scene before it defied imagination.
A mass of black shadows wandered through the Warp, then formed a black, towerlike structure. Soon, white joined in, turning into something resembling an octopus that devoured itself in turn. Then a streak of green appeared out of nowhere in the Warp. Far away, red and yellow intertwined, constantly changing and merging until they became a blue moon.
A vast mass of transparent liquid, a waterfall of "liquid," struck that moon. The undefined color and shape it ultimately became were difficult to describe. All the Baina Robe could see was the final form of that collection of things flying toward the immense storm stretching across the Warp.
