Boomblasta was a boss who had started out as a Big Mek. Digging up metal and salvaging old facilities, broken facilities, and blasted-apart facilities were his daily routine.

After taking a vicious beating from False Sanguinius, he had fled. More wandering, fighting, and growing followed, until the Deathwatch discovered him and hammered him again. That was how he had eventually reached a barren world without a single living thing.

Strangely, that world was perfectly suited to sustaining life, with enormous metal deposits underground. Boomblasta was puzzled. Why was there nothing alive here?

And so this barren world rapidly became lush and green.
