Its psychic intensity is dropping by one grade every 3.15 Terran hours. We can confirm that it is a projection of the enormous construct we encountered in the Warp. As the Warp Rift contracts, it is growing weaker."

"We should press our advantage," one Inquisitor said.

He was the most zealous, and the most obsessed. He always felt that humanity's future rested on his shoulders, and that he had to stake his own life on securing the safety of all mankind.

"That's too aggressive. Not one of the probes we've deployed so far has returned."

"Of course they haven't. You know that the terrifying planet we fought on is on the other side of the rift. Even our Black Ships could barely survive there. What do you expect those probes to accomplish?"

"Enough." The senior Inquisitor slammed his hand heavily on the table, to no avail. The defining trait of the Calixis Sector's Inquisitors was that none would defer to another. Everyone had their own convictions.

"Let's set this matter aside and await further developments. Does anyone have any theories about the various constructs that appeared during this battle?"

The Inquisition agreed on one thing: that Hive City-sized super-warship was definitely an enemy from the Warp!
