Evan stared at the Omegon, uncertain and alarmed.
Normally, he would have boarded it and started looting without hesitation. But Evan feared they might conjure up another Primarch, leaving the boarding parties as lambs to the slaughter.
Yet destroying their entire fleet with a single shot from the main gun felt like a terrible waste, no matter how he looked at it.
"Bring the flagship alongside the Nightveil. Clear the Nightveil completely. Have the cleanup teams prepare to relieve the Librarians."
Evan needed the Librarians' advice. He could not give an order that would send hundreds or thousands to their deaths for a warship he could destroy with a wave of his hand.
But when he learned that Cancero had fallen, everything changed.
In Evan's own words:
Lord of the Hydra, there will damn well be a place for you in my exhibition hall on Langjuxu.
If Evan had belonged to the Alpha Legion, protecting the Nightveil would never have been his priority. Sending a Primarch into the Light of the People was the best option. Why had the boarding force waited until it had suffered at least two hundred Astartes casualties before summoning the Primarch Omegon?
Combined with what had happened aboard the Nightveil, it was clear that, under normal circumstances, they could not have two manifestations of the same Primarch coexist.
If we trap one enemy Primarch in a Stasis Field, would that prevent them from ever summoning another?
Evan did not know, but he had to take the gamble. Even if they had two Primarchs, sealing one first would make everything afterward much simpler.
Every warrior who had participated in containing a Primarch was gathered together.
The Techmarines who had stayed behind did not have many Stasis Bombs in stock. Had they been aboard the Annos Glory,
