The situation was utterly baffling. As far as Evan was concerned, I only stayed on Langjuxu for a few years, and the moment I stepped outside...
He had no idea how to describe the sight before him... it was very Warp.
Naturally, I've got proper business to take care of.
The Emperor said Fengyan Star. I don't know whether he'll beat me up, but the Tech Mogul definitely will.
Evan had no idea that Perturabo's elite guard and Vashtorr were up ahead. All he saw was something slowly spitting out steel plates.
They didn't look particularly valuable.
If a glittering golden Pyramid had flown out, Evan's eyes would certainly have lit up, and the Techmarines would have started clanking over with their scanning equipment.
But this sheet of steel...
He had no appetite for it.
Let's go, let's go.
The Light of the People floored it and continued toward Fengyan Star. There's nasty stuff in the Warp. Can't I just travel through realspace?
On the enormous iron disc, Perturabo descended from above and slammed heavily into its center.
After Chaos corruption, Daemon Primarchs grew noticeably larger. Mortarion, for instance, had become taller than a Knight suit under Nurgle's corruption. His sheer bulk alone could overturn a Leman Russ Tank-or rather, flatten it.
Perturabo was even more outrageous. His current form towered far above a Warlord-class Titan, and nobody knew which parts were still his "flesh" and which were the Power Armor he wore.
He was a giant of steel. The daemonized Law Armour now possessed an unlimited capacity for expansion. Vashtorr's inexhaustible creativity and Perturabo's obsessive fascination with "realspace artillery exchanges" had made it the most powerful weapons platform in existence.
What irritated Vashtorr, however, was that he had no idea what the Emperor had done to bewitch Perturabo.
