There was little else to say. Kazhaniv was much shorter than the Primaris warrior Old Wolf Dun, but the good news was that this was not a contest of reach before they drew their blades and started fighting.
Kazhaniv slammed into Old Wolf Dun's chest. Under Evan's sustained campaign of nagging, the Mad Wolf had finally agreed to carry a few more weapons... then chosen to bring an extra Lightning Claw.
Like a hungry wolf scenting blood, the fervent Machine Spirit made the Lightning Claw blaze a dazzling crimson.
Three thrusts in quick succession shattered the heavy armour over his enemy's abdomen. Blood sprayed from Old Wolf Dun's belly.
Old Wolf Dun slammed hard against the wall, agony tearing through his abdomen. But as a veteran of countless battles, he immediately realized that an enemy Astartes had rammed into his side. He swung the Power Sword in his right hand straight toward his own abdomen-or rather, the back of the enemy clinging to him.
The two Primaris warriors who had been charging toward Evan alongside Old Wolf Dun froze for a moment. William seized the opportunity.
"Squads three and four, jump assault! Go! Squads one and two, get down!"
During the tense moment when they had gone on alert, a few warriors had chosen Jump Packs as additional mobility equipment. Now they leapt out to support the Prosthetic Warriors who had just charged ahead.
With their prosthetics hacked apart, the Prosthetic Warriors were at an overwhelming disadvantage. A few had already fallen, and most were wounded.
They dropped flat as soon as they heard the order. The warriors roaring in from behind caught their opponents off guard. Most were kicked away, while a few Primaris warriors took direct sword strikes.
Both sides plunged into melee once again.
Even the two
