The next instant, attacks came at him from three directions at once.
Bona rolled clear, snatched an ownerless Chainsword off the ground, and hurled it straight through one attacker's chest, then smashed another's knee apart with his own Chainsword.
But a blade was already slashing toward his face, its dazzling light almost setting him ablaze.
He tried to block it, but the raging chain teeth sliced through his wrist, and an enemy's kick shattered his left wrist as well.
The next instant, a cold blade pierced his chest and hoisted him high.
The enemy before him had the same face as Bona. Cold flames burned across his golden armor, dazzling golden light shone from his eyes, and a golden laurel crown floated above his head.
"Still clinging to your futile resistance."
He snorted coldly and flung Bona away.

Bona tried to climb to his feet, but blood kept pouring from the wound in his chest, and he slipped in his own blood.
