He turned to his battle-brothers.

"Brothers, evacuate this planet."

"What?!" Karen stared at him in shock. "Chapter Master, you..."

"That's an order," Saul said calmly. "There's no point in you staying here. You'll only die for nothing. Leave this place, return to the Chapter, and keep protecting those who need us."

"But you..." Gareth's voice trembled.

"I'll be all right." Saul smiled, though even he didn't believe those words. "I'm a Living Saint, remember? The Emperor will protect me."

"I'm not leaving!" Karen said stubbornly. "If we die, we die together!"
