"Boss, why did you suddenly change the plan?"

In a hidden base in Gotham's sewers, Bane, fresh out of prison and still in his prison uniform, took an experimental report from his second-in-command while making idle conversation with him.

Honestly, his assistant found this very strange. Under the original plan, his boss was supposed to stay comfortably in prison to throw Batman off, only coming out once the new formula had been fully perfected.

Yet for some reason, he had set the plan in motion ahead of schedule today and broken out without any warning, throwing all their subsequent arrangements into disarray.

He wasn't blaming his boss, nor did he dare to. He was simply curious why he had done it.

"Do you believe in intuition? Science has never been able to explain it perfectly, but it undeniably exists.

It was precisely because I trusted it that I managed to get where I am today."

Bane didn't answer the question directly. In truth, he was deeply puzzled himself.

He had been perfectly comfortable in prison, but for some reason, an inexplicable feeling had welled up inside him, telling him to leave immediately or risk suffering some terrifying, unforeseen disaster.

Strange as it was, he had chosen to follow his instincts, firmly believing that his judgment couldn't possibly be wrong.

"Venom's enhancement effect is much stronger now, but it's still not stable enough. And rather than reducing the damage it does to the brain, we've made it even worse.

Tsk. The project isn't progressing smoothly."

At his boss's words, the assistant instantly broke out in a cold sweat and hurried to explain:

"Boss, we've been doing everything we can, but..."

"Enough. You don't need to explain. I know this isn't your fault."

Bane waved a hand, signaling him not to worry.
